I've gotten hold of a used Asus Maximus V Gene motherboard it's in immaculate condition but there's just one problem there's no accessories included all of the following are missing:

ROG connect cable, mPCIe Combo expansion card
Cables Included6 x Serial ATA cable , 1 x SLI bridge

Software IncludedDrivers & Utilities, ASUS AI Suite II, ASUS AI Charger+, ROG CPU-Z, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi 2 utility, DAEMON Tools Pro Standard, ASUS WebStorage

I realize that the software can be downloaded at the bellow link, am I correct in my assumption that the Version 1.02.27 download will include all the necessary software for my motherboard?

My technical knowledge is somewhat limited any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
If the Asus accessories cables etc can't be bought in one package could you recommend what I'd need to run this motherboard?
Would I need anything besides the Cables Included 6 x Serial ATA cables? is a ROG connect cable indispensable?
Please provide links to any accessories you might recommend.

Here's the build specs if applicable:

Case: SilverStone Fortress FT02B-W USB 3.0
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Gene

The latest version of the Asus software for that board is 1.02.29 which includes all the Asus tweaking tools. You can probably skip most of them if you aren't into tweaking the system for performance.

You are probably aware of this but you will need to download the driver files from the same link and make sure you install the Creative XFi 2 utility, does help to improve in the sound IMHO.

As for the cables, the ROG cable is nothing more than a male to male USB cable, the SATA cables are easy to replace. And you would only need the SLI bridge if you plan on running multiple graphic cards, you can get this from the bay.

Other than that the only thing you are missing is the Q-Connectors that make it easy to plug the power/switches into the motherboard. Again you can do without these as you should just be able to plug the cables in direct.

A true wise Guy thanks for the Intel wazza300

Mmm if I can only get hold of a Q-Connector being a butterfingers I'm going to need it sadly OC don't sell them.
will this do?
I don't think we are allowed to link to Ebay but would anything with a title like bellow do?:
Official ASUS Q-Connector Kit Panel USB Panel USB 1394

Did a quick Google, and that looks like the right kit. Although you may find that the internal USB cables plug directly into the board just fine (my Corsair ones did), perhaps someone with experience of that case can confirm.

I'd sell you mine, if I didn't think they would hinder me selling on the board some day.

I found I didn't really need any of the accessories.
