Nvidia's 670's in dangerous territory?

With their price rise due to supply issues and being a generally good GPU the 670 has risen in price to the 7970's price bracket.

Is this dangerous for Nvidia? The 670 is no slouch but the 7970 has more overclocking headroom and more Vram.
Discuss.
 
The 680 is vastly superior to the pathetic 670. Even the poser wannabes on big pcbs don't come close. That plastic fan shroud on the 670 is basically a manhood extension. I pity the fool who buys one of those crippled, damaged and broken gk104s.

Being serious, I don't see much of a price increase. Various cards rise and fall in price all the time. I would take a good brand 670 over a budget brand 7970 any day. But change that to a good brand 7970 and It's a harder decision to make. You just need to research your options properly and weigh up the pros and cons of each.

In a world where electronic devices are on a drive to become smaller people do like to keep their big graphics card PCB :confused:

(not aimed at you of course!)
 
This silly trend of devices getting smaller needs to stop! I'm forever losing my phone. Thinks were better in the 70s.

People need to take a step back and realise: the small pcb is for noobs and media pc owners. It's like laptop graphics cards. Very small. The downside is that they causes house fires and destruction of swathes of British country side when they inevitably overheat.

Devices need to be larger. laptops should be a screen/keyboard assembly connected to a ghostbuster-like backpack full of the hardware.

Gosh If I was a Fly I would be very concerned if one card was 0.05 of a frame faster than the other card because I would be able to see it.

Speaking as a Fly getting this keyboard to work is &^%$ing hard work.:D
