AMD Catalyst 12.8 (8.982.0 July 27) AMD Official WHQL

My 7950 stays at 100 load on Gpu-z I have my i5 2500k OC to 4.4. will give these a run tomorrow.
My best score with heaven is 1770 with 12.4

Installed mobility 12.8 over the 12.7 betas, and cap 12.7 (3) 5 hours ago. CCC actually read 12.8 instead of 12.3, gpu acceleration in VLC is working again and I haven't had any flash tearing in ff (yet) either *touches wood*.
 
If only they didn't break hdmi sound after 12.4 :( And before anyone asks, I'm using hdmi sound from a 7970 as my amp (Onkyo 609) has no analog input for 5.1 and hdmi sound is better quality than via a digital cable that compresses the audio.

Pleeeeeeeeease fix it AMD, it works on 12.4 but no drivers after that.
 
I didnt get stable hdmi output from june ati drivers.... had to go back to older set.... heres hoping these are fixed and better on my old 5850 card.

Tried and they don't work for the 7xxx series. Funny thing is that it isn't the AMD sound drivers causing the issue, its the graphics drivers. I tried a custom install keeping the audio drivers from 12.4 and updating CCC and graphics drivers and it still breaks it.

Just did a quick run with my i7 @ 4.4GHz and same 7950 clocks as yours.

Remember our systems are not identical..

Possibly better min and max fps for u though im using an SSD and im not sure if u are :)
 
The HDMI audio with this driver is absolutely crap. The audio skips every few seconds. The 12.7 beta was bad but this is worse. I've had to disable the audio on my 7950 and use the motherboard audio instead. Not what I expect from a £300 graphics card...
 
So far 12.8 seems to have corrected an issue I was only just getting annoyed at. Screen would get a confuzzled band across the middle for a split second then back to normal. Usually whilst browsing web pages.

Fixed now :-D
 
For those of you that are getting audio issues after 12.4

well install 12.4 and then install 12.8, but do a custom install and don't install the audio drivers that come with 12.8
