Crest whitening strips

Thanks G-Man. I'm sure I saw somewhere a while back that there's a place that sends you impression material and you send it back for them to create proper trays. Will have to find it!
 
Sorry to bump this... Ive given up smoking coming upto 2 years ago now and im still not happy with my gnashes and remember reading this thread yonks ago.

Has anything changed in the world of home whitening ? :)

Or can i order off ebay with confidence.... Also how many at a guess, do i need 30 mins a day for 14 days ? I guess that's a start... im scared my teeth are gonna fall out help :)
 
My teeth are all healthy and fine, but they are naturally yellow(I've been told) though my wisdom teeth are coming through and they are pure white! I'm guessing years of drinking tea and only brushing once a day has caused stains? Will these do anything?
 
Just got 7 days worth at 15 quid.. not worth worrying if they dont work...

Im not sure, but i was discussing this with as many people as i could in the 30 mins i was umming and arrring to buy them and one said they can make your teeth very sensative.. so might not be so good.

ill post back after the 7 days.. I have a big mouth so i dunno if these little strips will do the job tbh....

Yes, get the advanced vivid or the one above that. The cheaper ones dont make much of a difference.

A lot of people have naturally yellow teeth, usually canine teeth being more yellow than the rest. Mine were the same and these worked great. Noticed results after 3 days and once I used the full kit they were noticeably whiter and my canine teeth matched the rest.

Only niggle with them is that the strips aren't long enough to cover all teeth, but they cover the visible teeth, so i guess its not a major issue.

AFAIK its only temporary. I had a bit of sensitivity when using them but it went away after.

how big are the strips, sorry to ask im sure i could find it if i looked around, are they chewing gum size ? i think id need them that big !

in mm... how wide too they say fold them over the tooth. i want to make sure the top bits are white too.. does that make sense? :)



edit: further reading and reviews all complain they are too small to fully cover the teeth... thats disappointing to say the least... i guess ill use 2 sets at a time :O

Arg I've just bought the 20 3D strips for 20 quid. If these have any effect, I'll go for the ones you mentioned. I'm only concerned with improving the visible teeth at the mo, since I need to have some photos taken and they show as really yellow in high MP cameras! :eek:

Just measured mine and the top ones are 75mm x 15mm

Bottom is 50mm x 15mm

They cover the visible teeth and just tend to miss the back molars. I really just bought them to make my canines whiter to match the rest and they worked great for this. If you want them to be flawless then maybe better to pay the £300 or whatever dentists charge for the specially made moulds.
 
Mine arrived today and just using it. After first 10 minutes I got 3-5 sharp strikes through one of my bottom teeth. Slightly worrying considering I've had sensitive issues in the past and its cleared up now. Hope this doesn't bring it back.

It's a very common side effect. Should clear up after a while.
 
Ok im sitting here with what is like rubbery sellotape stuck to my teeth.

They came in little silver sachets. Made in the USA but the print work looks slightly shoddy (fakes???) Who knows...

The top strip is big enough but the bottom one barely covers 4 of my bottom teeth. seriously.. it end half over the canines

If this crap actually works ill probably end up getting twice as many and using two top strips....

No pain so far and its been about 10 minutes, heart-rate normal pulse normal.

I just look and feel like a **** :) 15 quid for sellotape seems excessive.

I was kinda hoping id feel violently sick or in agony as they stripped away the years of ming from my teeth !

6 more days to go ... VISIBLE results by Sunday.. im not holding my breath just yet.

I noticed a difference (minor) after using these things only once, after the second strip there is a clear difference in the colour of my teeth. My teeth weren't bad to start with, but if this continues I should have a hollywood smile by the end of the course. Interesting.
 
I've just finished my 2nd dose - Im leaving them on for 45mins rather than the suggested 30... Probably not a great idea but im an idiot anyway.

Can see a slight change already.. Its reassuring.
 
well ive done 5 now and TBH, nothings changed except the very edges of my teeth are a bit whiter....

Either i bought duff ones/out of date or My teeth are beyond repair.. lol

Time to go to the dentist i think and suck it up... See how much that guy can screw out of me..

edit:

The more i look around the more i think ive bought shoddy goods,mine look nothing like the ones i see in videos... much smaller.

Im such a mug i just spent another 15 quid on the ultra Super Professional ones.

Im a scientist, its simple chemistry it should work.. I guess my teeth are more minging that i thought.
