Any ways of making money (<£100) in an easy but time consuming way?

I'm sure I saw a tv programme once about how women make money on the side by signing up to a sex chat line and taking calls. The calls usually range from 5 minutes to however long. Wonder if there is a male version so blokes get paid when women want a sex chat :p

Was that the one the women was doing her shopping whilst taking a call?

I think there was also some munter from Stirling uni who did it too?

Need to get my burd into one of those jobs tbh!

Yeah :p probably, they take them on mobiles and there was clips of them walking round shops talking dirty on the phone to some caller as if it was normal phone conversation. :p

Was anyone buying them though?

Also with the whole ebay thing, unless you find products that are very cheap like one off special day events, you won't make much money, this is because the fees are very high and also there is so much competition.

Very good point, no point making stuff if nobody is buying them.

It's funny you should make this thread as just today I was 'trying out' a online roulette system/basic strategy. And it worked and got up to a couple of grand (I could have chosen to walk and withdraw it all) but then foolishly raised the stakes too high, which in hindsight can only end up in tears. :(

A system/strategy to win at Roulette? This should be a good one, lets hear it!

He was probably using a form of Martingale or Labouchère I suspect. No betting system can overcome the fact the house has the edge however.

If you want the best chances of one working your best bet is to use the Zero Lounge at Betfair which uses a wheel with no zeros and hence you have exactly a 50/50 chance of winning or losing but even then over a long enough period of time you'll always break even.

With any betting system the best bet if it works in the short term is to quit whilst your ahead and move on with your life.

Not really possible anymore, the 'free bets' offered by bookies now come with silly conditions that make it unlikely you'll actually profit from them. For example with Bet365 you have to go through your free bet and your original deposit 3 times before you can withdraw any profits from the free bets. Sure you can bet on heavy favourites but if just one loses you'll probably break even at best.

Really not at all the case!

I had a £100 freebet with 10bet who had a huge rollover condition, something like 10x. I didn't realise initially but after calming down and sorting it out I ended up easily busting out with £60 profit. Had to have about £1000 at 10bet as 'bonus cash' which is a total con.

Be careful and read the T and Cs, but there is no conditions that will stop you winning via matched betting if you are willing to put the time and cash in. Even if the rollover was 100x, provided I had the capital, I would've got some profit out of it.

I'm not saying it's impossible to win from Matched betting, just that it isn't as likely as the original idea would have you believe which depends on condition free free bets.

You may have just had luck on your side. As someone who has placed 1000s of bets I can tell you there is no such thing as a sure fire hit. I once lost £50 on a team who were 3-1 with 10 minutes to go, the odds were so short I was only going to make about a quid had they won but they ended conceding two goals and drew the game.

No, it's impossible to lose from matched betting, unless you do it wrong. That's the whole point of it. It's matched.

Only if the free bet comes with no or few conditions. Otherwise it is very possible to screw it up. Only if you use a form of arbitrage betting as part of your matching would it be "impossible" to lose from matched betting.

Besides, it's hardly a long term strategy, you'll eventually run out of bookmakers to sign up to.

If you read the terms and conditions there are virtually no freebets where you won't come out with at the very least 50% of the free bet as pure profit. It might require multiple bets and higher capital investment, but you won't lose, unless you make mistakes.

I'm really not sure what you're getting at.

Of course, you will run out of bookmakers; I have, after making approx £1500 or so in completely free money. I've now moved to a new address and I'm about to start the process all over again with a new bank account.

Don't bother with online surveys, even with the best ones like yougov who actually pay out a worthwhile hourly rate and in cash not credits, will only see you get £50 a year at best.

Gomez Peer (http://www.gomezpeerzone.com/) is a good way of making a little extra cash. I would offer a referral link (which earns me $1) but not sure if it's against the rules.

It's basically a little client that sits on your machine and leeches a little CPU and a little connection bandwidth to test sites on behalf of clients of Gomez Peer. Pays about $10-$20 a month depending on how many machines you have running it.

Couple of caveats to it though - you need to be running it for a couple of weeks before you become 'active', and the payout is about 15 days after the end of the month (pay cycle is monthly).

Could i start a Raspberry Pi farm?

Couldn't you just start a ton of instances of it on the same computer?

That doesn't do anything.
The money he would make is limited by cpu power and how many tasks he is allocated. Not by how many instances of the software he is running on his computer.
For example, two 50% cpu processes will produce the same results as 1 100% cpu process.

Ah, I was basing my post on Roalith's comment that it leeches 'a little CPU and a little connection bandwidth', meaning that the clients wouldn't simply max out your CPU, and several clients would thus be worthwhile. If they're more like folding programs which eat up everything then yeah, it won't be so useful to stack them!
