Pick up the slack, you almost sound happy :p
If he stays fit he should outscore Rooney.

Hopefully I've well documented how im not happy relying upon smelbeck in rooneys absence. A justified position when you look at his goal record for utd. I said last year we needed a striker. It'd a year too late really but sometimes fergie needs things spelling out in size 44 bold text.

Pot. Kettle.

btw has anyone done the maths?

I ran through some numbers in my head just before.

Presuming that RVP stays and plays at UTD for 2 whole seasons, he'd have to score a total of over 44 goals (i.e 22 each season which is possible and probably above his overall average per season) in order to bring his cost per goal down to 1 million per goal.

(24 million fee, 10 million a year wages x2 years = 44 mill)

thats pretty scary. If he stays for 3 years that bumps it up to 54 million.

You werent excited when we signed Nani, Anderson, Hardcheese and Tevez in one year in 2007? U real fan?

No wonder us UTD fans get such a bad rep.

You didn't ask that, you asked specifically about Anderson.

And again pot kettle, you're the reason why United supporters get a bad rep (not that that has anything to do with any piece of transfer related conversation just FYI)

Well looks like RVP has truly went and burnt his bridges with Arsenal, signing for Utd. Pretty disappointed that he went to one of our biggest rivals but meh he wanted out so getting £24mill for him isnt too bad a deal for Arsenal. Will be interesting to see who will take over the goal scoring duties for Arsenal. As much as i hate RVP leaving, im looking forward to this season and seeing how we do without RVP. He was utterly rubbish in the Euros and was left out of the Dutch squad earlier this week as the dutch manager said he wanted him to sort his head out.

Anyhow not much else to say really, just disappointed that hes gone to Utd...was hoping that we would ship him off to Juve but sadly didnt happen.

Lets see if he has the balls to tell SAF in a year or 2 how to run the club lol:p...also lets hope he doesnt break a leg or gets injured ;). If he does then Utd will have a tough time getting him back to fitness. He was with us for 8 yrs almost and in that time he gave us a season and half of full fitness so lets see if he can stay fully fit with Utd.

I know this will come across as bitter but i really hope RVP turns out to be a huge flop for Utd. Lost all respect for RVP when he engineered this move and the way he criticised Arsenals lack of ambition. Hope he never gets his hands on the EPL title....personally if i was him, id have went to City as they have a better chance of winning the EPL again this season.

i cant think of m/any knowledgeable football fans who werent excited that Anderson moved to UTD.

I'm not buying that, Anderson had played a grand total of 25 games in 2 seasons at Porto, he was 'more or less' a complete unknown.

I do however take back what I said previously I do remember the last time I was this excited by a transfer, summer 2003 we signed a lad from Sporting who'd just tore us to pieces in a friendly.

was thinking about city hang overs and had a peek at wikipedia on everyones favourite waster, wayne bridge. On loan at brighton! so he gets his 100k a week and gets to live by the seaside, the guy is a genius!

When was the last time Anderson got anywhere near the Brazil squad (just interested really)? Is he that bad?

How has he engineered this move?

Football fans? No-one else cared.

Yes the knowledgeable ones.

Fergie doesn't sign 17 million youngsters who are entirely unheard of.

He wasn't 500k. He cost a shedload and was a high profile young player.

21 starts for a team in a much worse league.

He was hardly setting the world alight. He was a relative unknown - evidenced by the fact that he's not been worth knowing since.

Mirallas not ready for the United game.

Bugger.

We have a deal in place to let United win the first game, so the united fans don't start crying that it's all over and fergie is a muppet after 1 game like usual on here ;)

In return Fergie talked up Rodwell and feigned interest so we could mug City for more than 3p.

Another year with no central midfield reinforcement then :( Can't see us doing well in Europe then.

It wouldn't matter if he signed the Barcelona Midfield. He'd still **** it up with his outdated tactics for European football. I still think you now have a cracking side to take the title back as you usually do after losing it.
