I've tried to cable tidy my computer twice now and its still a mess, especially behind the back panel. I'm gonna give it another shot today, so any tips as to how to get it looking like the professional cases where everything just looks so neat? TIA

Braided cable extensions, typically you want a 24 pin extension and 2 pcie extensions for the graphics card. Lets you route the cables around the back rather than having them exposed.

Surely cable extensions are going to make cable management more challenging?

They can indeed, particularly with the more plastic type extensions such as akasa/nzxt. I use bitfenix ones in my own rig, theyre a lot more flexible. But particularly when i had my sli gpu's, because i was using x4 braided pcie extensions, along with a 24 and 8 pin cpu lead, i had a lot more cables to deal with. Getting the side panel back on my shinobi xl was a bit of a tight fit. And it's a case with very good clearance behind the mobo tray.

If youre trying to TIDY then, not just flatten the cables down so they fit, then its a motherboard-out-job I'm afraid.
Only reason, and this IS the best way of managing cables without question....

P-clips.
They require small holes to be drilled in the mobo tray so that a small self tapping screw can be used to secure them.
Take off your side panel, mark with a sharpie where you need to drill, then get to it.
Just take care not to drill into an area that will be visable.
And dont use screws that are so long that they touch your mobo

Get to it ;)
