With no downloading/uploading on my end I'm seeing these results:

What the heck is going on with my '100 meg' connection

I put my postcode into that link above and it says "We estimate your area will be ready between December 2012 and February 2013"

So am I going to be doubled from 60 to 120Mb for free?

no.. 60Mb the new speed and people on XL (up to 20Mb or 30Mb) get the doubled speed to 60Mb

only 50Mb/100Mb customers are getting 120Mb
Broadband Package
New speed after your speed boost

Broadband Size : S (up to 2Mb) gets Up to 5Mb

Broadband Size : M (up to 10Mb) gets Up to 20Mb

Broadband Size : L (up to 10Mb) gets Up to 20Mb

Broadband Size : XL (up to 20Mb or 30Mb) gets Up to 60Mb

Broadband Size : XXL (up to 50Mb) gets Up to 100Mb/120Mb

Broadband Size : 100 (up to 100Mb) gets Up to 120Mb

The doubling speed thing will end up in tatters and the network will not be able to cope with so much high speeds. It's barely coping with 50Mb/s - 100Mb/s let alone coping with 60Mb/s - 120Mb/s. Get ready for disconnections and a really bad service. :o Areas are getting much more subscribers which means even worse; wait until the entire roll-out has finished.

It's ridiculous then. 30Mb customers will get what I currently get but still pay less than me, and 50Mb customers will get 120Mb, but again not 60Mb customers like me. Way to go VM :rolleyes:

No they won't, all the price tiers will equalise once the speed doubling is complete.

Well after 3 SH's being installed today by 3 separate engineers I am still left with this:

<snip>

Apparently its a problem all over the South, any one else got it?

Edit: Anyone see any issues with this also?

<snip>

Your downstream power levels are surely too high there? You should be between -3 and 7 dBmv.

How do you mean equalise? Assuming the doubling is free then presumably the prices will not change?

Once the doubling is complete there will only be 3 tiers (30, 60, 120), and everybody on each tier will pay the same price as each other (loyalty/bundle discounts aside, of course)

Hope so or there'll definitely be 'tiers' :p

Well, here's my engineer result from his visit half an hour ago. :)

I've now been told its a fault in the area and resolution date of 23rd. Utterly useless.

No mention on their website of this fault of course.
