Hi all.

Just upgraded to a 680 and had delivered an Aqua Computer AquaGraFX block.

I also got some Mayhems X1. I have to drain the loop to add the GPU in.

How concerned should I be about residual Di water left in the loop when I fill with X1??

Brgds

Matt

Don't worry too much. Just get out as much as you can. I know my X1 is mixed with a bit of water. And it's fine. I asked Mayhems about this before, there was no problem as far as I remember

No problem here either, had DI running through my system a fair few times, just drained it off, filled with X1 :)

I was going to ask a similar question, so I'll ask here if the OP doesn't mind?

Do I just use purely the Mayhems X1 and nothing else, doesn't need to be made up from a concentrate for example? And how many litres roughly to fill a loop for GFX & CPU?

Thanks :)

You don't need to add anything at all with X1, all the goodies are pre-mixed into the fluid.

Depending on radiator size and length of tubing the majority will get away with 1L of fluid, though I tend to recommend 2L for just incase, you never know when you're going to screw up and have to drain everything off to re-fit a tube etc...

As a guide. I have a 200mm rad, a 140.2 rad, gpu, cpu and dual bay res. That takes up pretty much 1 litre dead on. Seems like the res that requires most of that

Excellent, thanks :)

I've got a dual bay res that takes 300ml on its own, plus either a 360 or a 540 rad and GPU+CPU, so like PGI says, I think I'll get 2 litres to be on the safe side :)

We should all combine our knowledge into how much each component takes. Then we should make a small app that works out the amount of fluid needed.
