**** Pictures of things we bought in August 2012 ****

i bet its aerodynamic but it looks like someone smacked it with the ugly stick and then for good measure they took a steam roller to it

Changed the basin and toilet for Jacuzzi ones, you would not believe how much this stuff cost, but i wanted something special, total cost with me doing the work is going to be about £6,000, i had 5 quotes for this as well £12,500 was the cheapest

Love the hidden camera in the ceiling, are you leaving it there? :D:D

I lol'd. That bike isn't ugly.

Popped down to the Bullring today and got this:

11" 2.0 i7, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

Is the Bullring still as boring as ever? Haven't been there in a year or so.
Last time I went Selfridges had become quite empty.

My Mac Mini doesn't make any noise at all when decoding 1080p. Neither do most modern computers or laptops with hardware decoding.

I used these http://www.bathroomcity.co.uk/product.asp?pid=3606 they gave me 40% discount on the shower, stone shower tay and Maki Thermostatic Shower Mixers & Kits. Sinks and Basin were from http://www.fountaindirect.co.uk/index.php. Aso in the 6k was plastering which has just been done all the tiles, new lighting etc.

Got myself a new USB pen :D

Actually, I got it as a gift when I did some work in the Gucci offices in Switzerland!

I wanted a small electric powered foam type glider for lazy summer evenings. I have neglected my hobby over the years, and never get time to head off to a proper slope flying field! S this means i can get some stick time without any difficulty :D

Its also a great FPV platform, and I have already done a few quick keyring camera test flights :)

Overdone it a bit with the training in pre-season, and given myself a nasty case of plantar faciitus, so physio said I needed to do a load more stretching. This thing does it for me, overnight :D

Oh, and little gift i picked up for my brother for xmas. I also got myself a set too :D

Why on earth is something that substantial necessary when some form of small form factor/low power PC is absolutely perfect for HTPC duties? Look at the size of that case!

Also looks more like an AV amp/receiver instead of a PC.

Main reason really, solid looking HTPC to fit in with my audio equipment and not look out of place in the living room. And h/w overkill was just so everything runs smooth and flawlessly.

What happens when you want to upgrade your Mac Mini, maybe add a GPU so you can play some games or add a decent sound card?

They're nice bits of kit but there are advantages to having something a bit bigger.

Forgive my laziness but where would I find these? A friend of mine would absolutely LOVE them, and it's his birthday soon :)

I was about to ask the same thing, and then decided not to be lazy :p anyway on ebay looking for 'pirelli band set' gave me six sets around £20-£30. As for their authenticity, you'd have to gamble!

HTH
