My pond size is 13ft x 9ft x about 3ft deep and i have the following fish.
2 18" koi
3 9" koi
1 18" orf
3 4" koi
4 6" gold fish.
The pond is nearly double the size form before i extended it and all i have added to the new pond is 3 4" koi.
I have had problems with high ammonia reaching 1.5 but now i have just about sorted that out with water changes and putting pond bombs in.
I have 3 filters looped and a good flow pump.
Thanks

I would say that its gonna really depend on what filter(s) you have. My calculations say that your pond is about 9,939ltrs so your filters really have to be suited to that amount of water if not more (you cant over filter the pond). Your pump and filter wanna be turning over the full volume of your pond twice ever hour (i think is the recommened amount).

For good water quality your gonna wanna make sure you have a UV filter running and a decent sized air pump as well.

Also make sure that your pump isnt pushing more water than the max flow rate of the filters.

Why are pics neccessary, you are just going to see some fish in a pond.

Its not like the fish are packed like sardines hence the creation of this thread.

Rubin, no you are not overstocked as long as the filtration is up to scratch. Exactly what sort of filter is it? Does it look like this:

Also, if you are getting any problems with murky water or algae, then I strongly suggest you invest in a UV steriliser like this one: http://www.cdaquatics.co.uk/pond-clear-advantage-15watt-pond-uv-steriliser-p-904.html

They really do help the clarity of pond water by destroying bacteria, algae and pathogens in there.

Depends on the quality and type of filters plus the pump flowrate, our pond is calculated at 18,000 - 20,000ltrs and it supports 10 rather large Koi and 8 other goldfish without issue, that running a single large tank filter system and a 28,000ltr pump.

The filter system consist of 3 small refuge bin look alike things,2 are about 3ft tall and the other is about 2ft tall.
The two bigger have a 35watt uv and a 15watt,the water is crystall clear and the fish are all fine.
If i empted the pond via the pump i think it would take about 2hrs.
I just wanted to know if the pond was over stocked with the amount of fish i have.
Sorry i have not got a clue how to post pics.

are they expensive?

where exactly do you live?

If your fish are expensive I can come and take a look - free of charge - and ensure that your pond is not overstocked. You won't have to do a thing!
