Muse - The 2nd Law: Unsustainable (Dubstep) Your thoughts?

The new single has been put online as I believe it's out in a few days and is getting radio play today.

It's called 'Madness' and it's absolutely awful. I didn't think Unsustainable or Survival could get any worse, but this is just awful.

Give it a google search, easy to find, can't link due to swearies in some places!

Not many Muse tracks I don't like but this is indeed bloody awful :(

jeez didnt think muse could get any further away from what originally made them great...but yet they have surprised and disappointed me once again :( That song is absolutely ******* awful! *sigh*. Also Matt said madness is his favorite song on the album... doesn't bode well at all!!!

meh to that dubstep track - not my style

HOWEVER

muse are awesome

i saw em at leeds 2002 and thought they were awesome and I still do today

you dont have to like every song a band creates to be a fan

this album will have normal muse stuff too - its not like they are going to throw all that out the window! anyhow that survior song is on there and I loved every second of that :D

this is why music is balls these days, everyone trying to outdo eachother in elitisumness

I'm holding out for these tracks

Supremacy
'Supremacy' sees the band going to "absurd levels", according to Matt. Spiralling swamp blues of the track builds to a climax of orchestral hysteria as Matt orates a terrifying scene of mankind losing its supremacy over the Earth as "the seas have risen up" and energy shortages cause global desperation.[1]
According to a French magazine, Jeuxactu, the song is abit like "Kashmir" from Led Zeppelin with it's guitar riff and symphonic orchestration.[2]

Meltdown
In an NME article 'Big Freeze' was described as 'stadium stomp' and being about the world being in "Meltdown".
A surprising song, very funky and at the same time, very 'Musey' [1]

Follow Me
The beginning of the track features Bingham Bellamy's heartbeat.[1] According to Bellamy, the song will be about 'having a baby and that'. This was later confirmed in an NME article where the song was described as Matt's 'ode to fatherhood.
According to a French magazine, Jeuxactu, the song goes crescendo (builds up). It starts quietly and ends with a almost dancefloor beat with big bass. They have also stated that the track is "out of the ordinary."[2]
The band enlisted the help of Nero as they were looking to collaborate with an artist to help create a more successful electronic mix of the song.

Wow, that sounds really annoying.

Daft question... But looking to pre-order this, and I see the normal version and the "Limited Edition Soft Pack" version, what is a Soft Pack version?

Thanks,
