Hello,

I have just upgrade to a Intel Core i5-3570K Processor from my old trusty Athlon *4 @ 3.3. I must say I'm extremely disappointed so far with the performance of the chip.

Can someone cast their eye over these scores and let me know if I'm hitting what i should be.

Well to start things off.... your RAM is very very according to 3D Mark.

Memory
8192 MB
Module 1
4096 MB Kingston 9 @ 667 MHz
Module 2
4096 MB Kingston 9 @ 667 MHz

Try loading the XMP profile in your Bios and see if that helps.

EDIT: Just remembered 3D Mark for CPU benchmarking .... no no no dear boy use Cinebench instead ;)

Something not right there....

Your physics score is normal. The overall score is heavily weighted by the graphics card.

You'll get a physics score of 8500+ with an easily achievable 4.4ghz overclock.
