Guild Wars 2

OK thanks for the responses guys.

At least I know its my system thats causing the issue. I honestly thought a C2D at 4ghz would be enough.

Looks like I need to upgrade then :D

Time to spend some cash on a motherboard, processor, Heatsink and memory. What do people recommend? I've got around £500. Is this worth it http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-001-GI&groupid=43&catid=2053&subcat= or is there anyting better

Don't buy a bundle unless you don't want to do it yourself. You'd be looking at an i5 3570k, decent Z77 motherboard (the one I've got in my signature is decent and reasonably priced) and some low profile DD3 1600 MHz RAM. Heatsink for the CPU you can get a Noctua at the top end or Gelid Tranquillo at the low end.

Make a thread in General hardware and they'll sort you out :)

Yes but only in game once it is released. It costs 2000 gems and is in the in-game store.

Nice I'll be buying 10000 of these gems in the first minute of logging in and boosting all my stats and levelling etc :) yes i literally have money to burn this month after deciding to not buy the other 7970 yet and much of it will go on pizza and curry to supplement my entertainment all week long lol

Well that's up to each person. It's hardly a huge amount of money, plus it's my birthday on Saturday so I'm treating it as a birthday present to myself :D
whilst its not a huge amount of money in percentage terms its a large chunk of the games cost

roughly 40% more for 3 days

True when you look at it from that perspective. However when you compare the value to the cost of other games that give you as many hours of content and entertainment, the value seems through the roof.

I thought GW2 was about taking your time to level, exploring and letting the story and events unfold as you go? Is there any point in going all zerg mode and rushing to max level in this game as fast as possible?

To reach end game I guess. Not that it's finished yet.
I personally plan to take my time and to explore.

Are there many end-game dungeons and also are they actually challenging?

Cheers.

there should be, you can play the dungeons in story mode and then in a kind of hard/heroic mode. As no none got this far we have to see how they look like in the end.

no point at all, because you can play the endgame (spvp, wvwvw) already with level 1 going forward. therefore, just play smooth and explore.
