steam wont save my login deatils - why ?

had this problem a few weeks now .... steam used to save both m,y eamil addy and password ... i changed that to just save my email after i got hacked ...but now i have to enter ALL my details each tiem i start steam up .

ticking the rememebr me box doesn't work ... any ideas on how to fix this ?

Tried using your user name instead? I've never typed an email address into steam to get logged in.

cant remeber ever doing that .. been my email addy ever since half life 1

I started having the same problem recently, haven't changed my e-mail address or anything it just no longer remembers my password (or makes Steam crash if I tick the box). But with the rest of the issues I've been having with it recently, I'm considering just reinstalling it at some point to see if that fixes it.

seems to me a steam issue then .. its a minor inconvience as i dont use steam that often ... just strange tho

Isn't this fixed in the latest update released a few days ago? Make sure your Steam is up to date.

erm ...nope

i excepted an update on initial login .. decided to log out and see if your theory was correct ... but still asks me for details

ah ....found out the issue ........its in account settings

theeres a tickbox at teh bottom that says "dont save account credentials on this computer"

which also disables offline mode .. you have to untick for it to save

edit .. yep it works fine now
