Q: If "common" people play strip poker, what do "posh" people play?

I don't know why people are applauding him for his behaviour, he's supposed to be an ambassador for Britain. He has the easiest life imaginable already, yet he still has to engage in stupid stunts (dressing like a Nazi), to emulate a rock star persona to try and distance himself from his oh so privileged upbringing.

Chip on shoulder? Do you have one?

Just because he was born into his position, doesn't mean he shouldn't have fun while he is young.

We've all got our kit off for the ladies before, why shouldn't he?

Alternatively he should be allowed a bit of privacy and do silly things on occassion?

So he should never let his hair down in (what he believes to be) private?

So you know, it's not that he's just having fun? He didn't have a choice in becoming 'britain's ambassador'.

What I see is a young guy having a laugh. Just because he happened to be born into a royal family doesn't mean he shouldn't be having fun.

I think he's insincere and hypocritical, he wants all the trappings of the Royal lifestyle, the wealth and influence, but wants to act like one of the lads at the same time.

The fact he was born into the Royal family he should have more respect for the institution. As it is, the more he ingratiates himself with us commoners and brings his reputation into disrepute the less standing the Royal family has.

Any man that suits up and goes walking about Afghanistan in a British uniform when he has that many options from his family, is not trying to be "one of the lads".

lol, you actually believe any of that media hyped nonsense. He hasn't served a frontline position in Afghan, he did some trivial role where he could pose about with a handgun, and fire a machine, then returned back home after 6 weeks.

Then he used his influence as a Royal to train as an Apache pilot, when there were undoubtedly far better qualified/experienced soldiers able to fill that role already.

The guy is a poser simple as, and judging from his past stunts he loves the attention it gets him.

There is no frontline in Afghan, sure there are positions you are more likely to be contacted than others but its not as simple as that. Regardless he has trained as any other soldier has, and has completed his tour of duty as any other solider. As a once serving soldier I can assure you that is no easy task regardless of your trade and profession. Until you provide solid evidence showing otherwise your simply talking out your arse :)

Somewhat disingenious to train as a soldier, when you know full well you aren't going to be allowed to serve your full duty because of Royal status.

And show me any other soldier in the British Army who gets selected for Apache training with 72 days combat experience and a couple A levels in Art & Geography, not going to happen. You as a soldier I would have thought could see the double standards in that.

Not knocking the guy for his charity work though, that's commendable, one of the more noble aspects of Royal duties.

Somewhat unfair of you to comment on a situation you are not fully cognisant of. HRH wants to go into combat. He's been to the front before, but was withdrawn when the press leaked it.

You really think they are going to allow him in an Apache if he's really not capable?.
Same for even allowing him to step outside Bastion if he wasnt capable in his duties?.
Doesnt really matter where you are based in Afgan cept for Bastion, out of that its a rough horrible place to be all in all.

True he was fast tracked to an Apache Pilot, but he did pass all of the requirements to be allowed to use the Apache, rest assured if he failed he would not be allowed to fly simply because of his royal heritage.

He also previously served as a FAC Operator in some notorious parts of the country. And was caught up in a few firefights as a result of this, he also went out on patrol as any other soldier.

My point being was that he had it no easier than any other soldier who serves, and he himself stated he did not want it any other way. Whilst he was there he was no different to any other soldier. You must respect the man for putting himself in harms way when he could have quite easily sat at home and watched the war on TV as so many others have :)
