I started a blog a few weeks ago with my friend, just for something to do. No-one knows about it or reads it, which doesn't bother me.

What stories do you read about Online? Do you visit These Type of Blog sites, if so what sort of stories 'grip' you?

....in other news, I got a Job (no longer an unemployed graduate). :)

This isn't even a thinly disguised attempt at getting us to read your no doubt terrible blog.

'HEY GUYS READ MY TERRIBLE BLOG' would have been a better and more accurate thread title.

To answer your question no, I do not read These Type of Blog sites (sic) as they are universally awful and written by preening half wits who think social media is a profession instead of a meaningless buzzword.

Chill out.

Don't remove the link just because some half wit doesn't like it. Let more of us half-wits make our decisions!

To be honest, it wasn't about my blog, i just started wondering this morning of what people actually read.

I read two blogs, my friends (music) and another mates (blacksmithing). And other Websites that divulge tech news.

I didn't answer your question. I do read:

  • Eurogamer
  • Something Awful
  • Overclockers
  • ClubSub and ScoobyNet
  • Sky Sports
  • The BBC

I don't read:
  • Reddit
  • Anything to do with anime
  • Anything to do with Jessica Biel (that man-grabbing witch)
  • Anything to do with MLP
  • Any blog by anyone, especially those people who think they're new and mesmerising
  • Twitter

I tend to frequent the storm2k forums/site, some incredibly knowledgeable people on there and it's strangely exciting following tropical storm/hurricane development from off the west coast of Africa into the Atlantic.

I used to read some of the Gawker blogs (Lifehacker, Gizmodo etc). I've got to be honest I don't really read any tech blogs anymore. I do still read UniverseToday.com now and again, as I'm a bit of a space nerd.

As others have said, what's the link to your blog?

I reguarly read:
OCUK forums
BBC news
Engadget
Anandtech

I occasionally read:
Bloomberg
Zero Hedge

Also read through the talk to strangers blog, which was pretty interesting.

The only blogs worth reading are about people with interesting lives or experts in something.

As you have no way of knowing how knowledgable the person writing is about the subject they are of little use.

Saying that look at how popular the Daily Mail website is - obviously not everyone thinks like me!

Slashdot, mainly because the Beeb's tech news is rubbish and the rest seems to be either doom, gloom or Robert Peston's steam of mentally-challenged consciousness.
