Bought a new chair and a new monitor recently, bought the monitor before the chair.

With my old chair which was a wooden dining table chair that was uncomfortable, the height was about right and I was looking straight on at the monitor.

With my new chair, I am now looking downwards at my monitor. I've tried angling the monitor back so its beaming into my eyes but it barely helps.

Any solutions? The monitor is vesa compliant so I could either wall mount or get a desk arm, but this is additional expense.

I could put some books under the monitor but this would be unsightly I think, but I might end up doing that and just man up.

Guys?

Set your desk/chair height up so that your forearms are horizontal when holding m&kb, use foot rest if necessary to keep your feet flat with no excessive pressure to your thighs on the chair, and then set up your monitor so your eyes are about level with the top of it. Raise the monitor if you have to. Well worth getting it right if you plan on spending long periods at your pc.

Can't go far wrong with a good wall mount imo. Cost me something like £7 from Sainsburys, solid as you like, perfect viewing angle and gives you plenty of extra space where the stand would be :)

That's the 30" Dell on OcUK too - so no issue with strength!
