it is actually fox's posts but mondeo/e39 were replaced with civic. there is not a chance that there could be another person on earth with such a big "whatever i own is the best there possibly is, until i buy a different one, and then that will be the best" thought process as him.

It isn't Fox at all, he would rarely recommend an e39 to anyone, and he certainly didn't buy his E92 335i and then wax lyrical about it being the "best there possibly is", infact I seem to recall he sold it that quickly because in reality it wasn't that great

Exactly my point, people here have this thing that he is anal about BMW and wouldn't recommend anything else, where the opposite is true!
Fox is someone with an intelligent opinion and a great way of communicating it. That's just intimidating to most. Can apply to any aspect of life, not just cars, but he's a genuine asset to this sub-forum and I enjoy his posts.
It is amusing how easily people misunderstand and get rubbed the wrong way by a strong opinion and common sense. But then this is what makes Motors great to read

A CTS is not a CIvic Type-S, but A Corrolla T-Sport, cleary the best hot hatch ever made.
It's just soo under the radar that no one has realised it yet!
