Price on a full set up

A quick question ; do you think its really worth me buying a full watercooled set up for the hardware ive got : I7 920, Asus Rampge 2 Gene, GTX 560 TI. Also what around about temps should i be getting with a full set up.

Got around £600 to spend inc buying a case.

wouldn't bother with motherboard personally. But assuming your overclocking hard or like a quiet build then it would be worth it. Which case you thinking of?
 
Ahh ok, To be honest am not fussy aslong as its big enough to put everything, am not bothered. Id rather take a cheap one and spend the money else where. But do you think the hardware is good enough to keep for a while longer?
 
i7 holds it own very very capably, most CPU water blocks are fairly universal so it could be upgraded easily if you chose to down the line. As for the 560 it is a fantastic card. What is your usage for the system.

I would look at the cases first is there anything that takes your fancy looks wise. Once you have case set then you can build around that part really.
 
Gaming - Mostly Lord of the rings online and it runs at very high easily. As for the case lets say its £100-150 leaving £500 for water cooling set up think that sound OK?
 
ok easily :) I will have a proper look tomorrow if no one else has for you by then otherwise look at the w/c case gallery at the top see a case you likes.
 
For £600 just pick a case and as long as it's big enough chances are you'll be able to afford a good watercooling setup with the change.

Easily done under £600, you can even afford to throw another 240 rad in the loop :)

One thing I will say, is watercooling the 560Ti might not be very cost effective, I would consider manipulating the budget to accomodate something like a 7950, obviously factor in the £100 or so you'll get for the 560.
 
Keep your 560, you'll see very little performance upgrade going to a 7950 and it'll cost you about £130. I'd wait at least another year to upgrade unless your needs jump up significantly.
Go with what Cleeecooo said and get a universal block (like this one) which you'll be able to use with a future upgrade. Keep the heatsink off your 560 and put it back on when selling it. Only downside to this is your VRam could potentially get a bit warm but that's an easily rectified problem (clicky).
 
Get a 560 block if you can instead of the universal 1 OCUK don't have any.

If you can fit a 240 rad instead then do that.

You don't need rads between components, as long as you have enough raddage to cool the components you have.

The temp of the water will stabilise within the loop regardless of rad position.

this is utter rubbish - I run all my components inline with 1 big rad and I get sub mid 50's on CPU and mid 30's on each GPU (2 of them)... and the 2nd GPU actually runs cooler than the first... you are much better off having 1 big rad than multiple small ones assuming a big one will fit where you want it to
and those temps are even in this current weather where my room / water temp is around 30-33C

if you've got a decent pump the difference in temp between the water entering a component and leaving it should be no more than about 0.5C

all my temps are always the same for cpu's and gpus with 1c of each other and I can see the temp rising as if my cpu goes up within about 2 mins the gpu's will then rise as well
