Guild Wars 2

so far I played about 30 mins but the shop and guild were slow/non working plus i got booted with a wrong password thing while playing. from beta all these things worked ok though.
 
I'm just getting connection errors. I was on 98% when it was working.

Edit: patch went live, patch server got overloaded, we are waiting.. :)
 
back in from dinner and the login updated, then restarted and just has 'Connection error. Retrying...'

ill watch the footy whilst its being fixed me thinks.

I started this morning with a human ranger (continuing the legacy from my ranger in GW1)
So far I'm not overly impressed with the rangers damage output or abilities, but then again I didn't get very far so I presume once I unlock more skills/traits/weapons things should be more interesting.
However I'm getting the overall impression rangers are gonna be Jack of all trades but masters of none, just like in the first GW.

Compared to the previous beta releases of the game, I'm glad to see that the performance issues have been dealt with. Been getting some stunning fps so far, so glad they fixed that.

So far the only thing that has annoyed me is that I can't get access to my 50/50 HoM and the servers are a tad laggy at times, but that's to be expected.

How about anyone else's first impressions?

I managed to log in from 0500 till 1200 that's already more than I thought I would get in today going from previous MMO launch experiences. And what as there I really enjoyed.

It is very different going through the content with a mass of people compared to the past half a year where I have been going through it all solo.
 
I'm just happy that when i played earlier for about 4 hours, i leveled up to lvl 7, so I got my Charr Engineer out of the starting area and out into the main part of Plains of Ashford. This is because even if i don't get to play much now this weekend while they get the servers stable and running well. I'm going away for a week on Monday, so i won't come back to the low level section swarming of people trying out second characters etc..

I played about 7 hours with an Asura thief this morning. I'm really enjoying it, tried all the weapons except two pistols and I think I like the twin daggers the best so far although dagger + pistol works really nicely as well. Struggling a little with key management, not used to having to use so many keys! Combat is quite fun though, very mobile and stealth is awesome. Just got my first utility skill which lets me drag people towards me.
