Guild Wars 2

I managed to get a couple of hours of gameplay before the game went down. I have mixed feelings about it really, the game runs poorly on my system. 30-50 fps, I'd prefer a smooth 60. I'm not a fan of the FXAA they are using either, aliasing is still pretty bad and the image is a little blurry with it on. I run Skyrim maxed out with MSAAx8 on and get a pretty constant 60FPS.

Hopefully the game will get some performance boosts and even a DX11 patch soon. That aside the game seems OK but a tutorial would be nice and even an intro with more background story.

I wish they didn't re-use so much music from GW1, as good as it is I'm tiered of listening to it after all my years playing GW1, some new tracks would be nice.
 
Got on this morning, made a character...went off for lunch and now everythings down :( made an asura gaurdian on a whim....never even seen the gaurdian. Is everyone playing/going to be playing on desolation?

Yep, verified mine a few days back.

I really don't get people who do think MMO launches will go smoothly this is why you get up early, get your name, get a feel for it and then go for a nap in the afternoon when the hamster dies.

im getting 30-50fps with max settings on a 7850 but only 50% gpu usage.

i thought maybe i was cpu limited but in task manager no core is fully maxed out :S
ive noticed after zoning sometimes my fps dives to 20-25 but if i reset the settings to best "best appearance" and then manually stick shadows/LOD back to there max my fps is fine around 50 again :confused: (although still no maxed out cpu cores and still only 50% gpu usage)

Actually just started an extension, planned build is 6 weeks. May be able to shorten that a bit now :)

Going out for a couple of pints, not taking phone or any other internet device. I shall pray that on my return the universe is back in sync and we can in fact play;)

I logged into two Betas and a stress-test and was never prompted by the account verification email on the launcher. I got it today, for the first time. Whether or not it was a staggered rollout, I don't know. Either way, both servers are down. That is not my fault.

I just ignored the email verification and logged in this morning.
 
In defense of inKursion I skipped the 2nd last stress test and on the last stress test had to verify my e-mail account when I went to login, was very strange as that would have been the 4th or 5th time playing.
 
It probably is, i was getting 50-60fps running around in the human starter area before it went down. That's on an ancient gtx460 using the new beta drivers.
