mm, I've lost all trust in ebay - won a cabinet, got it quite cheap but seller wouldnt communicate with me for delivery options and then when I contacted ebay the contact details they had for the seller were false.
He was selling other things but ebay wouldnt look into those sales to see if they had gone through - if you win an auction and the seller decides not to sell defeats the whole point of ebay!

Since when has this been in, they used to be on online signature.
stupid ebay is stupid.
At least 2 years, i've had a few instances where i've returned items and even though there is proof of signature online, ebay won't accept it. SD is the only way to go if you want to ensure you get a refund, however it costs a silly amount.
For the millionth time this year - PAYPAL ALWAYS SIDE WITH THE BUYER NO MATTER WHAT.

as a seller, you always have to be polite, accepting etc even if the buyer is a jerk, knowing that the buyer will always win you just have to hope they send the item back, as they can post an empty packet back. So annoying considering the fees we pay
OK. Next question: "When is it acceptable to leave neg feedback?"
In this case, one day before I would have been able to get a full refund, I get an automated email from eBay. "The seller will refund you if you return the item, using a tracked delivery service. You need to pay return postage."
1) The seller has ignored 100% of my messages. I've sent him 3 so far, about two days apart.
2) I'm going to lose £10 at least to use a tracked delivery service.
3) The fault with the mobo was so obvious you could see it was broken without attempting to install it (broken/bent pins in CPU socket).
So would you guys leave pos, neutral or neg feedback to this guy? He's got 100% pos with 400+ feedback atm. But my experience has been very poor. I really dislike having all my comms ignored.
And being out of pocket for a tracked return postage service....

this purely on the basis of how he handled the issue.mistakes sometimes happen. I once sold lots of software some new and sealed but a few used.I had 14 listings running and in copying and pasting I listed something as new when it was used.
buyer got in touch, I apologised.offered him full refund including his return postage or a 33% refund to allow for it being used. Kept in touch daily and answered all emails politely.
he went for the refund and said the software worked so all is fine. Next day I get an email from him saying he had been talking to friends and had decided that I was the worst kind of ebay scammer and clearly hoped people didn't notice I had sent them 2nd hand stuff and if they did I would then offer a partial refund and nothing lost so to warn people about me he was giving me negative feedback. He said lots more about me being the scum of society and I was the type of person giving ebay a bad name.
Update: I'm pretty convinced the seller is trying to screw me.

A day later, I tracked the parcel. Delivery was attempted, no one at premises. Being held in depot. A week later, it's still being held in the depot. He/she has made no attempt to have it redelivered.
A day before the case was going to automatically close, I escalated it. I've now had to provide a scan of my receipt from Royal Mail. Good job I didn't discard it.
Still no response from seller.

If you're using eBay like a business you should behave like a business tbh. It's not hard to see why he thought you were a scammer. In fact I'm pretty sure I remember a thread on here where someone was moaning about being sold a used copy of software on eBay listed as new...might have to have a search for that. It would be quite funny if you were the other end of the chap.
eBay users are scum pretty much. eBay is a greedy organisation, there would be so few problems if eBay actually banned people, of course this could mean anything up to a 50% loss in profits. Now if it wasn't a public company that cares about a loss of a single penny then it probably wouldn't be so bad.
Final update: ebay have closed the case stating that I'll receive a refund within the next 3 days. The motherboard itself is in a Royal Mail depot somewhere. I didn't put a return address on it, so it'll get disposed of after some months. Since the pins are all bent to hell it's no use to me anyhow.
I'm down £10 for return delivery, so now I'm going to leave some feedback... oh, what to write, what to write...

I thought the seller paid for that?
Nope. Neither ebay nor the seller offered to pay return delivery. The refund amount was for what I paid to the seller, that being item cost + his pnp cost to send to me.

Leave your negative feedback but keep the message polite and to the point, just say it as it is.
Purchased motherboard which arrived with bent pins in the CPU socket, attempted to contact Seller to return the item, numerous messages without response which lead to a dispute with eBay, again no response until eBay stepped in and confirmed the refund. Item sent via expensive tracked delivery at own expense, tracking the order the seller did not accept the delivery and it's been in the depot for x days.
Would not have left negative feedback if the seller had responded appropriately to refund requests.
Are you allowed more then 80 characters these days?
