Phenom II X6 1045T good buy?

Figures pulled from no where.
Although I do know there is gains, I ran a 3.2GHZ CPU NB on my Thuban.

They are not pulled from nowhere, its well known in the benching world that upping the CPU-NB on Phenom's increases the FP performance, not by a huge amount, but a noticeable differences and i have tested it.

I know it's well known there's gains, but the percentages you pulled are from thin air.
I used to get annoyed at reviewers not clocking the chips correctly.

Using the same GPU as the one you gave the percentage to?

Actually, best way would be if Dave shows an 8% improvement at 2600MHZ on his CPU -NB, if he doesn't, then my "pulled out of the air" counts, even if you have your own figures as they're not applicable in the situation to which you gave the percentage gain.

LOL DO NOY BUY A DUAL CORE CPU....

you will regret it.

i3 = dual core most games use 3-4 cores easy now

whilst per core they might be faster on a game thats using 3-4 cores they are severaly limited.
2 cores with 4 threads is not faster than 4 actual cores

Using the rig you see in my signature, give me a minute i have some 3DMark 11 pics to hand, let me upload them.

4 threads is not 4 cores

They use threads.
i3 isn't a quad core but still has 4 threads, not as good as 4 dedicated cores, but it's still 4 threads.
Also the i3's are damn good gamers, better than a lot of native quad core CPU's in the majority of gaming situations.
They're also no where near severely limited. In some cases they're not the best CPU to go for, but they offer much better consistent performance than the FX4 which is the AM3+ Quad core at this present moment in time, the Phenom II X6 in the OP is very low clocked, the i3 would nail it to the ground in the majority of gaming situations.

I mean hell, there's Skyrim in this thread which has the FX8 getting nailed by a low end sandy bridge 2 core.
Also, you'd be wrong about what most games can use, at least heavily.

Not applicable, you gave percentages to someone else seeing a gain, I called those pulled out of the air, if he doesn't see those gains then they were, not saying you may not have seen 8%, but nothings to suggest Dave will.

Ok I can re-use my 6950 and my dads is letting me take back his chip, but was mine.
I can mock an i3 2120 ish too
Give me a few days and i'll get some data and a lil video just to prove the all the kit exists,

What games/apps should I bench ?

As you can see the CPU Physics have gone up from 5808 to 6478, that's an increase of 10%

^^^^

You were saying??? :D:D:D:D

Didn't know 3DM11 was a game. /facepalm.

Nor are the figures applicable to davedree until the figures are recorded from davedree.
Never once disagreed with the performance boost, or the figures of performance increase, rather the "You'll see 8% gains in those single/2 threaded games"

Of which, unitl Davedree does runs of it at stock CPU NB and then 2.6GHZ CPU NB are still made up numbers.

Take it to 4.5GHZ!

4.35Ghz is the most it will P-95 pass on my 412S cooler, after that it overheats within 5 minutes of starting stress testing, hits 57c on the cores and BSOD. need H2O on it.

Those 8% game figures will come once i have the time to write them up. 3DMark 11 Physics is the same way games use the CPU. its why its there.

As said, not applicable until Dave's done it, until then they're just made up numbers, they may not be made up for you, but for him they could be due to the factors with the builds.

All your figures do are show your own gain, not the figures of daves gain which you said would be 8%.
