**** Pictures of things we bought in August 2012 ****

I would if I could but one is for a friend who's wife does not like him playing games as "they're childish" so he hides his game playing from her. I order all his games for him :D

He gets the **** taken out of him a lot about this :D

Exactly how can he hide his games playing? I mean does he wait until she goes to sleep and then sneak out the bedroom onto his PC. Also what exactly does his wife think the PC is for? Spreadsheets?

Doesn't exactly sound like the best marriage in my eyes.

Only the yanks would come up with something like that.... It's as if each generation is trying to take part in their own 'Nam

Technically not new, i've had one for about a year but this replacement just got delivered.

Stocked up on a few more of these the other day after the politicians started mumbling about magazine bans and the like after the recent happenings. Doubt anything will come of it though.

Kwerk are you about to go on the rampage and get us all who say LOLKWERK

Kewrk, I know you've probably answered this before but why do you have such a collection of weapons?

I'm not being sarcastic or anything, I'm just wondering/interested.

I could understand the 'idea' of having a side arm (pistol) for self defence in America, but even though it's a test of my understanding.

it's actually an international sport, it's big in Hong Kong and Philipines too. They even have movies about it. It's not supposed to be deadly serious, it's just a game to improve your skill. In fact it's popular every except the UK because you can't have handguns or semiauto centerfires LOL.

Popular in Italy, Sweden, Finland, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech, Croatia, everywhere even Ecuador:

Sweden:

anyway enough thread jacking.

I understand one want to defend against an intruder.

Fine, have a side arm, a pistol, a shotgun, hell, have a semi auto rifle.

I understand one likes guns, and collects them and have an arsenal.

But that doesn't mean he needs all the ammo.

I understand one likes shooting, so he stocks up on ammo rather than paying the prices at the range, or even have room on his land.

But that doesn't explain the number of clips as clips cost money where reloading is free.

The only reasons I can think of are the ones I see body counts and him on the front page news.

Why do you need more than one drill bit or more than one screw driver?

I have a small collection compared to most people.

Ignoring hunting (easily 20 guns required there), collecting, historic guns, plinking, practical target shooting (3 there + backups), service rifle target, small bore target, bullseye, trap/skeet, sporting clays, machine guns, suppressors, plain old cheap deals you stumble across.

Sticking to just self-defense most people have say:

Summer carry gun
Winter carry gun
Pocket carry gun
Large home defense pistol
AR15 home/neighborhood defense rifle (think hurricane katrina)
Maybe a pump shotgun you can lend to a neighbor or relative
22lr AR15 analog for cheap practicing
22lr carry gun analog
22lr HD handgun analog
In bear country a magnum revolver

Then the catalog of different handguns you've bought seeing what works the best for you. I know people with 50+ handguns. I know one guy with 12 of the same exact same gun, in slightly different configurations.

EDIT: watch hickok45's channel he can explain it better than anyone:

What's the difference between a summer carry gun and a winter carry gun?

We need an "Ask Kwerk" thread. Who's with me?

Or maybe it's a pretty, day-glo pink or yellow for sunny summer fun and then a rustic berry colour to suit autumn's browns and reds. The NRA knows the importance of colour-correct accessorising.

It sounds like you have a wonderful sense of style. :)

I keep the ammo IN the magazines. The ammo inside the mag costs more than the mag itself. They are almost disposable. Plus if they ever get banned they will be worth 4x as much as what I paid.

Anyway I am a lightweight.
