If anyone's good with antiques can they just have a quick check of this piece of tat to make sure it's not worth anything.
We're doing a car boot tomorrow, it was in the house when we bought it.

Knowing my luck we'll sell it for 50p, it'll be some Roman treasure and it'll be on tele in a weeks time worth thousands :D

It's 18" diameter.

if i found something like that, i'd be looking to take it to a specialist. could be worth a lot, could be worth a fiver. i'd still want to know though.

Judging by the tin bottom and copper surround I'd say it was made in the 1960s, it's worthless, if someone offers you real money for it then take the deal.

Can't see any hallmarks there, but the detailing looks hand-done so could be worth a little bit. Get it appraised :)

Holy crap!! That looks very much like an ancient Roman piece of pottery - most likely for making buffalo mozerella or meatfeast pizzas in. Given the right auction house and collecting audience, that could go for millions. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TAKE TO CAR BOOT BEFORE GETTING A PROPER APPRAISAL!

Due to the high resolution of your images I could make out some ancient roman details, definitely get it seen too.

Well I've decided to put it back in the loft, I'd sell it for a quid then wonder what if.....I could have got two pounds for it.
I'm sure desires correct though, it's worthless.

What metal do you think it is, is it copper coated in something like tin, or was it originally sliver colour that has corroded?

51p and a jellybean. Afraid the jellybean has already fallen on the floor but its fine under the 10 second rule.
