Sword+Pistol also has a shadowstep. On key 2. It shadowsteps to the target and hits it. Then when you push it again it shadowsteps back to your original location.

Haven't really used the shortbow, have unlocked the skills for it, it feels like it's less effective than dual pistols, which is what I use.

Maybe i got the name wrong, it's the mobility skill that you shoot to an area and jump to it - skill 5 I think.

The thief's mobility looks really really strong when played well

(i'm only going from videos, not playing yet :()
 
Now, either I'm incredibly stupid or PVP isn't very well explained...

I literally dont know what I'm doing. Nothing is made clear, apart from to take the certain points.

What about these supplies keep going on about? Also, is there a faster way to traverse the mammoth map? It takes like 5 minutes to respawn and reach the battle again.

Im trying my hardest to like it but it just seems like an unorganised gank fest!

Must be something fishy going on with your cards mate...

Im getting a steady 45fps on 1 x GTX 560ti with 304.79 on ultra settings.

just so you know you are meant to have 2 sets of weapons on active switch all the time to make finishing moves through your starting moves and to trigger certain effects with the auras you leave behind. You definitely misunderstand the 5 skills per weapon system and mistakenly think it is simple - it's the most complex system to master. ps if anyone knows a location of a guide to all the various weapon switching finishers for a warrior please let me know as I've only found a couple.

Nah, you didn't get the name wrong. The shortbow has a similar skill. It shoots an arrow to target location then shadowsteps you to it. Think it's called Infiltrator's Arrow. And the sword skill is called Infiltrator's Strike.

That explains it then saw, them doing it last night (about 20-30 ppls) and was like wtf. More than enough to do and lvl you up, taking my time to explore. Hit lvl 30 last night so will try and get to the Ascalonain Catacombs as I missed it during the beta, so hopfuly there be a group up for it.

You need to learn them , thats the point of crafting. you invent them by sticking in parts and materials. getting new plans is easy, its getting jute and other light materials thats the problem. You have to farm crappy areas again just to get a few of them.

You mean WvW , big difference!
no the maps are massive for a reason i guess (so that you can actually capture stuff else it will just be stalemate everywhere), just walking which is a chore your right, best thing to do is make sure you find a big group and stick with them at all costs.

supplies help you build certain items (like seige stuff etc), tbh i wouldnt worry about that for now and just focus on getting in a big group (look for the battle signs on the map and lightning in game for a battle) and follow them around to cap events etc.

make sure you have at least one ranged weapon as well.

It all seems a bit wonky for performance vs the cards, even on a gtx460 i get 50-80ish with the new drivers. Once they get it all tweaked out you foks on better cards should be getting some silly fps.

Who has reached max level? the most i have seen here is level 55 and that is someone who has put in 30+hours so far in this game.

May i ask what is special about end game content?

Yea that server is always full. i've rolled into that server myself and always get put on the overflow server. what ****es me off is that once u get put into the proper desolation server, if u teleport or go into another area such has lions arch, it puts u back in the freaking overflow server again!
 
Up to level 8 now. Couldn't do as much as I wanted to because I had a headache in the evening. Not sure whether I should continue with this one or try a few other classes.
