print your food?

Sounds good to me :)

With time there is no reason this meat shouldn't be of a high quality.
High quality, factory produced food, with no loss of life, less energy cost, less CO2.

Whats not to like?

While I understand all those points, and I agree that they're all positive things that this sort of technology would bring, it's like electric cars - the same thing as it was before in many aspects but in some ways completely, totally, utterly unrecognisable. Freaks me out.

If they can produce a product identical or better to the quality I buy now (which is a decent quality of meat from a local farm). I'm game.
Although the butchers still needs to make money on it else I'm out.

What..the...hell.

My luck id get to the printer and it will be running out. Ill have streaky burger or something.

Hmmm

sounds like a big step forward, star trek'esq replicator anyone?

i think its a phenomenal thing to have available and will surely bring a much needed respite on a good proportion of our resources, cheeper high quality food is something the world is screaming for at the moment and the only downside i see to this is 3rd world country's who's income rely s heavily on food export.

hopefully with not too much of a rose tinted lens the world with discovery's like this will move in a direction where personal wealth has slightly less impact on a basic quality of life we all deserve and more to do with the betterment of our society.
