It's a fake, think for a second. There's probably not even that many 5c pieces in existence and ipeben if there was, how did they get hold of them so fast.

Still an amusing story.
 
By my calcs that would weight 1 million kgs, so 1000 tons.

1,000,000,000 / 5 = 200,000,000 so 200million coins @ 5grams each
=1,000,000,000 gms
= 1,000,000 kg
= 1,000 tons.

An artic lorry carries about 28 tons so you would need

1000/28 = 36 artics.
 
what's even more amusing is that there are a few articles around about how paper blog thought it was serious and denouncing it.

Apparently there aren't that many 5c coins in circulation..

Apple are kings of marketing and they don't need the money. So they'd just plant a flag in the middle of the pile that reads "Samsung = pwned" or something.
