I want to build a Very decent gaming PC.
The parts I have already are.
The case , The ram and the Hard drive.
The ram I have is corsair vengeance so I will need a processor fan that works with ram which has big fins on it.
I also have a mouse , keyboard and speakers.
I'll need a new monitor and I want to go with a AMD graphics card.

I changed my mind about Nvidia.

please spec me a PC :)

This is a rough estimate of what I had in mind

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gainward GeForce GTX 680 Phantom 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £539.99
1 x Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey £227.99
1 x Intel Core i7-2700K 3.50GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £215.99
1 x Asus P8Z68 DELUXE GEN3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £175.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Professional - Retail (FQC-00133) £169.99
1 x Silverstone Strider 1200W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply (SST-ST1200-G) £159.95
1 x Adata XPG SX900 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (ASX900S3-256GM-C) £159.95
Total : £1,664.84 (includes shipping : £12.50).

I am willing to go with cheaper parts as long as they get the Job done, I wont compermise on the graphics card.

I would go with the 2GB card - I doubt you would ever need the 4GB.

That would save you some money.

Also why the 680?? a 670 clocked is a great card - again cheaper.

You could get 2 7950's for the price of that 4GB 680!

YOUR BASKET
2 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £259.99 (£519.98)
1 x Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24" Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey £227.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - OEM £179.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Professional - Retail (FQC-00133) £169.99
1 x Asus P8Z77-V PRO Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £159.98
1 x Corsair Professional Series AX850 High Performance 850W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply (CMPSU-850AXUK) £154.99
1 x OCZ Agility 3 240GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (AGT3-25SAT3-240G) £139.99
Total : £1,569.42 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Changed to ivybridge and a few other changes. Personally for anyone to buy a 680 now, let alone a 4gb card is a bit of a daft option. The two 7950's will destroy any single card out there at the moment (not the 690!)

How's this?

I've kept the 680 because you wanted one. Only thing i'm unsure on working with the RAM height is the CPU cooler (H100). I picked that because I assume it's smaller than the big Noctua's and what not at that price range. I've given a huge SSD and the power supply is more than ample for the build, even with a second GTX 680 put in for a future date (which the motherboard will be able to utilise). Also I have given you an ivy-bridge processor to give you PCI-E Generation 3.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel 520 Series 480GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive - Retail £479.99
1 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 680 WindForce 3x OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £429.95
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard with FREE BOOGIE BUG XXL GAMING MOUSE MAT £129.98
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-Bit - OEM (FQC-04649) £119.99
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX850M High Performance 850W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020004-UK) £113.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366/LGA2011/AM2/AM3) (CWCH100) £85.98
1 x LG BH10LS38 10x BluRay-RW / 16 x DVD±RW Lightscribe Drive - Black (Retail) £79.98
Total : £1,632.44 (includes shipping : £10.50).

I haven't put a monitor on because i'm not really sure what you want in a monitor. There's £170 budget room left and you can always go for a DVD drive or something to save some money for the monitor.

I think I will go AMD instead for my graphics card, due to these problems I just found out about, Id like to stick with the i7 as I will be using fraps and have multiple chat messengers opened at once.

What I said in the post above.
Thanks for all the help so far guys :)

IMHO, I would swap the OCZ drive for a Samsung 830. Do you need a retail copy of Win 7 Pro? You could get the OEM version to save money.

I wanted the copy with windows 7 32 bit and windows 7 64 bit disk , I was going to try to install both versions , in cease 64bit doesn't work with some games.
Whats the difference between retail and OEM btw ?
I am a newb so please forgive my little knowledge about this.

No point installing both. 32 bit applications will work fine on a 64 bit OS. Retail comes in a nice shiny box and allows 3 activations. OEM only allows 1 activation, but this can be circumvented during activation (usually by calling MS up in the activation process, simple enough). ;)

I'll go with retail , if this means i can activate it on 3 different pcs.

I've yet to come across a game that won't run on 64bit.
