Guild Wars 2

Top Tip - Zone completion and Crafting XP is a fixed % of a level.

It's better to wait until you are slightly higher to do the zone completion. I'm not sure which level is the break off for increasing XP/Level however.

Is Guild Wars 2 the same as 1 where you're with loads of people online in certain areas, then you go out of that area into big open worlds and then you're basically on your own sort of offline?

So the game has no depth at all because you're choosing to use only a fraction of your skills

Ok just a quick example, Duel pistols theif 20 man group v elite mob. I have auto attack, body shot which i can stack and unload as my main damange skills. Thats 2 buttons to press, now i can steal and use the skill thats another.

I can switch to my bow and drop a poison cloud for my team then switch back. Slot skill's i only have two open at the moment and both of them are buffs. I cant see what more i can do, the characters are just really basic.

No, its more like you're with loads of people online , then you go out of that area into other areas where you're with loads of people online :D

Large events elits are not supposed to be challenging skill wise, it's just one big zerg, try out dungeons where 5 man co-operation is needed, then you will find you might start using every skill you have, also try WvWvW. Lvling, events, event elits are all auto attack based experience, dungeons and WvWvW is where the fun is at.

It didn't really matter for me that Amazon only sent the game out on Tuesday as my old router broke on Saturday and both the new router and my copy of GW2 arrived today. Hopefully my Guardian won't be too far behind everybody...

what about the other 3 skills for pistol? I can't remember exactly what they do but 2 and 4 both put a condition on your enemy, aiding your team and increasing your damage if used correctly. 5 then blinds people around your target, helping the rest of your group. Bow has cluster bomb which is one of the best thief AOE attacks, 3 again is a condition skill. Then you have steal which can be very powerful, your 3 utility skills (even if you're using passive ones they still have an active element which you should be using) and then your elite skill which is obviously excellent.

For example at the moment I'm using Pistol with dagger off hand, 1st skill is obviously my main attack which causes bleeding, 2 lets me put I believe weakness on an opponent, increasing the damage I do. 3 is a brilliant skill which stabs my enemy and dashes away firing a shot, essentially it's a free dodge with good damage. 4 is a great AOE if you're getting outnumbered and 5 let's me get in close, stab and go into stealth. So another free evade and I can then do a stealthed attack for extra damage.

And that's just one weaponset with no utility skills.
