7950 TF3 overclock on stock voltage

I've just installed my nice new 7950 TF3 and decided it was time to do some overclocking! The stock load voltage on my card is 0.993 in afterburner, so what would be a reasonable overclock for this voltage? Will memory overclocking be of much benefit? If so, what would be a reasonable overclock for that? Thanks :)

Is it correct what I have read here that the newer version of the card has 1 x 6 pin and 1 x 8 pin for power?

I get one tomorrow so just wondered?

1Ghz on core should be doable. Mine came at 1031mv and did 1Ghz. Now 1100Mhz at 1.1V

My Powercolor PCS+ version would barely go above 900 core at default volts even though it was supplied with 880 factory OC.
Hopefully the MSI version will be a bit more fun for me :D

Well mine must not be the 7970 pcb as it has 2 x 6 pin connectors and the default core voltage is 1093 mv.
Going to spend a while with Heaven and some fiddling :p

whats the little switch for near the crossfire wotsits?

Dual BIOS switch, could be a lifesaver (or rather cardsaver) if you decide to flash the BIOS and end up bricking the card, I've seen people who've bricked one BIOS and are now reliant on the second BIOS. I don't really fancy any BIOS flashing (pretty sure it voids the warranty) so I don't think it will benefit me much, but it will be very useful for some people.

Hmm, so you just received a 7950 TF3 today and it came with 2 x 6 pin power connectors? That is strange because I thought all the new 7950 TF3's had 6+8 pins.

I guess the stock at the vendor was a couple of months old perhaps.
Can't say I'm concerned though as I would not be flashing to a 7970 bios anyway and it's running great.
Massive gains in Heaven (20%) when I raised the clock from 880 to 950 and mem from 1250 to 1300.
After that the gains have been far smaller.
Just playing around with the memory atm to see if there is a sweet spot as I'm wondering whether the increased memory speed can have a detrimental affect at some point (I guess so).

i recieved mine a week ago and it was the 1x6 and 1x8 pin one. I managed to get it to 1000 core and 1575 mem but mine was 1.031v on stock.
