Not sure if the 3DMark score is for the MSI card which is overclocked.

Yeah I thought this would be £190 odd.

So the 650ti takes the place of £150 card, now. Whichever way you look at it, the (true) mid-range cards - £150 or thereabouts - haven't really seen much improvement for the last couple years.

So if you've got that amount of money to spend, you're better off going 2nd hand.

Going second hand is risky. I don;t mind buying CPU second hand but GPU seems to be more likely to be faulty. Are there any card manufacturer that allows transfer of the remaining warranty life to next owners?

Buying from the Member's Market here is safe as houses. Before that I bought my 8800gt from eBay ;) Lovely card.

I'm not sure that GFX cards are any more/less risky than CPUs tbh.

Either way, I'd love to see how a 650 ti stacks up against a GTX 460. I'd bet it'll be similar or worse than the older card.

Buying any component second hand is risky. Who knows what the CPU has been thrashed through...The same with the GPU. I would be inclined to only buy from someone I know tbh.

Looking at 3DMark11 score, the GTX660 is going to be at least 20% slower than a GTX660TI.

This means it would be not as fast as an HD7870,but costs the same??

So what is Nvidia using to compete with the HD7850??

The GTX650 with the GK107 looks like it won't be powerful enough.
