the board was only stable for enough time to take a CPU-Z validation file (around half a second)

erm... so we're calling it an overclock if it boots windows for half a second before crashing?
it's also 1 core 1 thread... so a fully enabled 4 core ivy at 4GHZ would be faster in the vast majority of apps

Yes. The CPU is overclock to 7.102GHz which is the highest achieved. Stable or not it's a record.

Wow imagine if CPU can be stable at 7ghz what can we do? I guess by the time we will have at least 12 cores?

It depends on the task and the clock speed of the quad.
Assuming 3.9GHz for the quad (maximum stock turbo speed for a 3770K) in a single threaded application yes the single core at 7GHz would be much faster.
