I can see where you are coming from, but how many applications are you going to be running at 100% 24/7?
Maybe SB would be better, as you don`t seem to have much faith in the IV chip. At the end of the day, it`s your money and it`s seems you would be happier with SB.

Got the windforce gtx 670 here, cracking card for bf3. I have mine oc'd at 1320mhz core, 7586mhz on memory, (+130, +770). At 1920x1200, ultra preset, 4x msaa, 16xaf, HBAO on and blur off. I play with v-sync enabled, (60hz lcd) lowest fps ive seen at those settings is 53 on the b2k maps. With v-sync disabled i can average 75fps, temps max at 51c with v-sync on, 67 with it off, fan on auto. Cpu is an i7 920 @4ghz though im switching to an i7 3570k soon.

thats a tasty overclock your running there what v's and what software are you using? it looks like i'll be getting a 670 but just waiting a while to see if a pricedrop is coming:D plus if i get it all togeather i will rush the testing of the new board and cpu and the comparison between my currant rig to new cpu and board to new gpu won't get done or will rush it and the results won't be any good (still a big kid like that :p)
 
Thats on stock volts as the 670's dont feature unlocked voltage control. Software wise, im using msi afterburner. I love how quiet the card is. Particularly as i had been running overclocked reference cooled gtx 470's in sli. Very loud.:eek:

well bits were ordered first thing Wednesday morning about 6 in the morning and there not here........:( to say i'm a little let down is an understatement, turns out one of the bits i ordered only on the "hey why not it's only a few quid and could be useful" kind of thing was a stock discrepancy and as such the whole order wasn't shipped no phone call or email to say this nothing :mad: i would have just let it go but having just checked to see if there is any movement after phoning customer services this morning to change the item for something in stock i find this Order Status: Printed in our warehouse, it's bad enough it's not here today the only day left that was free but now looks like it's not going to be tomorrow ether :(

anyway rant over for those interested i got an ivy anyway(yeah, yeah i changed my mind again lol) along with the gd65 along with some fresh HS paste and a couple of bay adapters so i can have usb 3 on the front of my case (in my upcoming rebuild log you will see why using the back is imposable) cos nothing is going to part me from my HAF932 :D

anyway when the bits do turn up i will do a rebuild log with loads of benchmarks ect also plan to do a couple of things with the inside of the case
it will be in 3 part's,

part 1: will be board cpu and ram with my 460 sli, TBH not expecting miracles here as my currant rig max's the cards in most games but maybe makes things a little smoother in games like battlefield 3, then comes

Part 2: consisting of new gpu more than likely a 670 this will be 4 weeks from now or when ever i can get the cash together and sell my old bits

part 3 is later down the line more than likely when the next wave of gpu's hits the market and will with any luck be tri sli time but this is funds and availability dependant might add a part 4 in there for tri sli :)

so stay tuned lol will update this thread with a link when there is some progress :D
 
it was this thought it might be useful to see how much power my rig is burning before and after and when i get the new card/'s another thing that sucks i ordered it about 6 in the morning just before the ivy got a £5 price drop :(, its a good job i checked if they were coming my plan for today was to do some final benching done then get it all stripped and cleaned out ready for a couple little mods and the new bits to be installed

i will be really :mad::mad::mad: if it's not here tomorrow like i think (being as order status hasn't changed) because i have cleared my day tomorrow and upset the girlfriend in the process :(
 
Drop them an email and ask if they will give you the Cpu at todays price. That`s the least they can do, especially as they have not notified you.
 
Oh you can be sure i will be dropping them an email as i have phoned up just now and and guess what it's not going to be here today :mad::mad::mad: the worse part is they guy on the phone didn't seem to give a **** asked to speak to a manager and he was too busy :mad:

this is not the service i have come to expect from OCUK, very disappointed the worse part is nobody seems to care about customers the 2 guys i've spoken to yesterday and today don't seem too

so thats 2 wasted days now 2 days i have cleared for this project and 2 days down the drain as far as im concerned :mad::mad::mad: starting to wish i never started this now!!!! :(
 
Send one in Order Queries, via OCUK Customer Services.

That`s out of order, they should have informed you and given you the option to cancel the power meter .
If it was me i would ask them to cancel the power meter and give me next day(tomorrow) or cancel the entire order.
 
i'm just in the middle of doing just that mate, the problem is i removed the power meter yesterday when i phoned and changed them for OUCK mugs just to get things moving and nothing, i was going to phone back yesterday afternoon but my girlfriend was round and umm....... well she don't know about the order mainly cos it would cause WWIII and she didn't go home till nearly 6 so by this time customer service was closed i think the recording said 17:30 they close..... anyway phoned up this morning and was shocked with the guys attitude he didn't seem to give a rats a**, this really got to me cos i have been a very loyal customer of overclockers for 6 years and always buy personal components from OCUK sometimes if i'm doing something for a mate i might have to buy elsewhere due to cost but wherever possible i will order from OCUK

i have told the guy on the phone i will be checking throughout the day and if there isn't any movement i will be calling back to cancel the order something i do not want to do but will if nothing is done
 
thanks mate me too :) anyway just got a reply in the customer support forum and fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow, order status has remained the same apart from delivery have been changed to saturday so we'll see with any luck i can get started on the rebuild log and hope to have something up sunday or monday :D

no mate to be honest i just want it sorted now...... i am hoping for some extra sweeties though lol

there has been more movement just checked and Order Status: In our warehouse queue :D everything crossed :D
 
sure is lol, would love my boy to be more into pc's he's had one since he was 3 :( and after months of him moaning he can't play games on his pc i gave him an upgrade to a c2d 2,4 @3.3 4 Gb ddr3 and a 8800gt not the fastest but sill plays loads of games and when i gave it to him at the start of the holidays i told him i was upgrading soon and he could have some of the old bits....... well after me giving him loads of my pc games collection he's spent about 2 hours playing the rest of the time he's on facebook and playing naf web games :( kids hey......:rolleyes:

anyway i have some massive :p news................... just checked my email and me bits are on there way :D:D:D:D so i shall be doing the last few benchmarks and then the strip down will begin :)
