Far Cry 3 Thread

Far cray 1 was great. FC2 was epic with amazing beauty scenery good plot and gun fights. Both felt like an adventure far better than Call of Duty series. I am really looking forward to this release.

Only thing that was crap was mulitplayer with small & poorly designed maps.

yes it looks very interesting, but i wouldn't get too excited yet, it was delayed because when they gave a demo of it to some guys a few months ago, it was said to be too much like the 2nd game..

it's huge and openworld, yes this might be a huge mistake if it's too repetative, you might find it's only interesting like in those vids in a few areas!

what is interesting though, is that if you're not careful you can end up like Vass (totally insane) the guy you play grows tatoos and becomes a drug addict/loony hunter, it's pretty weird stuff

the island has these drug plants that drive you crazy, like magic mushrooms, that's what all the Halucinations are about, it isn't anything like the first two games.

Does anyone know how to add this to uplay? Got it free with AMD's offer, went through ok and ordered but it gives me no option or anything to add it to uplay. Presuming it will be there nearer the time.

Looking forward to this.

I never bothered to complete the second one on account of the respawning checkpoints and AI but I really liked the physics.

I managed to google the Far Cry 3 steam store page (the US version I think) but it comes up with the region error on the UK version.

Has there been any confirmation if this will not be a Steamworks game and retail versions will be non Steam compatible?

I'm really looking forward to Far Cry 3.

My only concern is order it now from simplegames, or wait for it on Steam (at twice the price).

Cost vs. Convenience...
