It became politically incorrect it's now just a firm handshake!

Rubbish. It's another type of body language a strong firm handshake is a sign of confidence in ones self or confidence in the proposal you've recieved whereas a weak handshake is a sign of weakness or lack of interest in the business at hand!
Rubbish.
As my client's/co-workers are multinational it's impossible to know how well a firm shake will go down, so a mid-way shake is the most appropriate - nothing bugs me more than some weedy little jerk doing a macho shake (after I've had the decency to do a moderate one) - makes me want to grab him by the face & crush his head to show him who's boss.
*grabs & crushes Capn' $qu!ff's head*Well I certainly won't be doing business with you and your limp wristed handshake
*Dons top hat and spits at elmarko*
Good Day to you sir!
*grabs & crushes Capn' $qu!ff's head*.
I don't do limp, but neither do I do firm - it's called the midway grip.
Handshakes are for sissies.
I prefer to give them my best Paddington Bear stare, as if I'm looking right into the very depths of their soul and judging them unworthy.
Then I nut them.
I agree...dead-fish handshake = sucks, bonecrusher = sucks (trying to prove something??)
I still say the best ever handshake Ive had was from my mates gf. Bumped into them @ the grocery store and he introduced me. I held out my hand and she gave it a nice firm shake. I told her right there and then that it was a solid handshake..better than the dudes. She was chuffed!
