No RPM reading on Corsair case fans

I got a new case and fan controller today and hooked up the stock Corsair 120mm white LED fans to the fan controller however the fan controller is receiving no RPM reading from the fans, even though I can still fully control the speed of the fans using the knobs.

Any ideas on what's happening or what I should do?

The tach output of the fan has no bearing on the ability of a fan controller to regulate voltage, it's just an output. Some controllers use it but yours doesn't.

As for why it's not showing up. No idea.

The thing is the plain black case fan on the back is working perfectly fine (with the controller, Lamptron FC6 if it helps), showing the RPM, and so is the included Cooler Master 120mm fan with the 612s.

Difficult to find anything on these fans.

They appear to have 3 wires but can you check if there's a connection to the third pin on the image below?

It appears there might be nothing connected to where the RPM sensor wire would be though the text in just the wrong place doesn't help.

The fans do indeed have three connections pins, here's a picture of the connector:

I think the third connector may be for the LEDs.

If you're connecting the fans to an aftermarket controller then it'll be wired for the 3 connectors being +ve, -ve and RPM.

If the third wire from the fans was power for the LEDs then I assume the LEDs wouldn't work connected to the fan controller.

The LEDS do work connected to the controller but they are quite dim. Even turning the knob up and down doesn't change the brightness of the LEDs which is strange. I think the wiring with the fans may be weird due to the LED on/off button on the 400R front panel.

Looks like I may have to buy some 120mm fans so that I can have fun control of them. Any that you would recommend with LEDs? I'm thinking the Cooler Master Sickle Flow fans look quite nice.
