Hi guys

This week I upgraded my pc and decided to go back to AMD with a MSI 7970 Lightning card thanks to OCuk's nice Deal of the Week.

Now I am well established in Nvidia cards, drivers, tweaks and overclocking, but I am less sure about AMD cards.

I have downloaded the latest Cat drivers, and I understand that the CAP3 software is only for Crossfire configurations. I was wondering if there is there is anything else that is worthwhile to download, or a site with good information about tweaking AMD cards and setting up game profiles.

As always I have Afterburner installed, but at this stage I'm not going to bother clocking the card as it comes pre-shipped at 1070. And so far it is a lovely upgrade from my old card:)

Thanks in advance for any info!

Caps provide performance gains for single cards as well, so always use them. Make sure you only use the latest cap, and only use one cap at a time . When a new one is released uninstall the old one first, restart, then install the new cap.

Regarding overclocking see my thread here on how to do it the 'best' way.
