*** League of Legends ***

Yeah, support doesn't seem the most fun, but I thought I'd give it a try and see what happens :)

Really depends how you are playing your support. No question support is the least active of the team. Soraka is strongly around her massive heal but it is a single heal so if both characters are poked then she can only restore 1 and the heal is slow. Her mana donation is very powerful - really allows the ad more scope, silence can also be a nice poke a well.

But their are more fun supports if you are a more active style player. Blitz is possibly my favourite at the moment - very strong ability to deny the opposing ad from his cs. Never been able to get used to leona but a leona support can be nasty. I tried a troll gang plank support which worked really well on a couple of games but in reality only worked for me because I got enough kills to then build a more traditional gp, which is no good :( sona I love - her passives are strong and she is quite hard to poke down with her double heal. Seen some good nunu supports as well.

Remember the initial support build is very very standard

Philo stone->heart of gold->aegis

In that you decide when to get your boots and if you can oracle helps, ward as much as you absolutely can. Sometimes the second gold per 5 is not need or Kages is another option.

IMHO your job as support is keep the ad safe and try to stop the opposing ad getting cs whilst ensuring your ad gets the cs.

Other good/fun supports, Alistair is worth a try, quite strong and again can be quite strong.

However! If you have been paying Annie try some of the other casters. Also get into the other lanes the best players to have in a team are the most flexible(which unfortunately I am not :()

Disqualified for colluding to split prize money. And if it is true which MLG+Riot seem to think so hope they have the book thrown at them.

It's unclear whether they just decided to go for an Aram or were planning to split the money so didn't care, what was the game like? Seems really odd for 2 top teams to put a game at risk like that.

Actually that's where you are wrong. There is far less rubber banding in LoL then in DotA because of how gold efficiency works in League, the team that is ahead by the 10min mark wins 90% of the time. In addition the skill ceiling in DotA is far higher then in League, that's not up for debate from anyone.

I struggle with this fact, although it maybe true. So are you saying that the pro matches effectively are decided at the 10 minute mark?

I've had games after 10 minutes where we know it's lost but generally most games we can turn around unless a champ is particular fed and as a team we fail to take them down quick enough :( I think the game strategy is more complex than your post intimates.

Early game dominance is very important and will decide the bulk of matches but if you lose the early game then just try survive and play defensive as in the late game a single good play can decide the match.

There's far too much surrendering!

Tried having a game last night but got completely smashed. Finished the match at 1/8/4 with Jax :(. Bottom lane with my friend on skype, we were doing really good in terms of dominating the lane (even though we didn't manage to get any kills) and when it come to the team fighting I was always getting owned. Bad game.

Hopefully tonight will be different.

Me and a friend duo bottom sometimes with jax and xin, very funny to explode either the support or carry in a split second :)

Really wanting to start ranked as my play has improved a lot but my connection is too unstable :(

MLG made it clear it was collusion to split prize money and I read something about for seeding for a big tournament riot host? Don't watch LoL, meta game is garbage but take an interest when that sort of behaviour totally discredits e sports. Just like certain Dota casters send Moscow 5

That isn't the case

Fans and spectators are divided on whether the teams actually violated rules, with some adamant that neither team appeared to throw the match, or forfeit.

Both teams decided to play the first round of the final match in 'All Random, All Mid' style, which is not the conventional method of League of Legends gameplay, however there doesn't seem to be any evidence of collusion.

If you have a linky to support your view then post away.

Fizz players?

Recommended? I do like assassins a lot :) and I'm lacking mid characters. Ahris is on free but we just don't get along for some reason! Fizz looks nice....any idea if/when he'll be on sale?

Fizz is great mid against the right match up. I play him pretty much glass cannon AP and get off one single burst and then back out, kills the ad carry or support in one burst, at times even without the ult. But you die so so so easily if you don't have an escape. It's all about using the E to either initiate the kill or get out. A lot of the time you won't have time to use it twice.

Blitzcrank support all the way.

Seriously fun, the only downside is that as part of the pull/stun - combo, it can be easy to accidently steal the killing blow from the carry.

Taking me a while to get used to the game again, would love to find a way to get blitz to jungle but don't think it's that great.

As my carry I'm sticking to Ezreal & Ryze as mid - need to find a good ranged top laner (really annoying as melle top lane vs ranged).

So I went to the geekpub lan over the weekend around here and was introduced to the game. From the few times I played it, I liked playing the paladin type guy (the one with hammers). He was pretty cool, but although I tended not to die so much, he wasn't so hot for killing with.

I also noticed that some people tend to get silly more money then others, how come that is the case?

I think you mean Taric, rsatd.

He's usually built as a support champion. Built correctly, he can cause some significant damage - but that's usually only for ***** and giggles.

You get money for killing enemy champions, last hitting minions, destroying towers and killing global objectives (Dragon and Baron). The guys with silly more money were probably getting more minion kills or killing the rest of your team.

This guide is pretty good. I link it to all my friends when they start playing. The learning curve is pretty steep. Navigating your way around the shop and finding out what items do what are half the battle. It's a good game, don't give up.
