21:9 aspect ratio coming

I would actually welcome this change in ratio...

I have a triple-screen 16:10 setup, but it's a little too wide for practical use (in gaming anyway). A 21:9 screen at (say) 3730x1600 or similar, and around 40", would be ideal. Basically the same height and pixel density as a 2560x1600 16;10 screen, but with extra width :)

I like the idea of a wider screen but 29 inch and 1080 is too small, as duff man says bigger would be better!

Its not really too small for 1080.

Based on my current monitor:

LG W2363D which is a 23" (16:9), w:20 h:11.25 inches.

The LG EA93 at 29" (21:9) for the same h:11.25 would be w26.5 inches.

I'd be happy with those dimensions.

Why continue to make them flat, why not make them curved? Any wider than 16:9 and you're going to have to move your chair left and right to see the ends of the screen properly :p

Now a really wide screen that was shaped like a curve that you sat in the centre of, I could understand the logic behind this more.

Hands on:

For the love of all that's holy, make something above 1080. It's simply unacceptable to limit computing to that vertical resolution just because of movies.
