Hi guys.

Long time member of the Overclockers store and avid forum viewer.

I am about to purchase a mouse upgrade (Logitech G400). Moving from the Razer Deathadder 1800DPI which I have had for about 3 years. Middle mouse button died on me a year back.

The mouse I will be buying (hopefully) from Overclockers is the Logitech G400. From reading the forums and doing some research I see a later model of the mouse was released without prediction.

These newer models are identifiable by a PID higher than LZ13333. According to a Logitech staff member "In retail stores, you can tell the difference between the older and newer versions by the package's transparent closure labels; G400s without angle snapping have the Logitech logo printed on these labels. G400s with angle snapping have no printing on these labels."

I have contacted customer support (Pre realising there is a difference on the packaging) and they said they could not "find out the details as it is on the bottom of the mouse and this is hidden with the packaging".

I was wondering if any of you guys/gals have recently purchased a Logitech G400 from Overclockers and can confirm that the g400 on the store is the newer versions without prediction?

TLDR - Are the G400s on the Overclockers store the updated version without prediction?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Im assuming the bundles that ocuk get will be in diffrent packaging then what you get in store if they have listen that its that mouse then it will be they dont lie to make extra money.

When I've bought mice from OcUK they've been in retail packaging.

Unless the product is described OEM it should be a retail version.

Good morning,

If I walk in the warehouse this morning and look at these mice on the shelf, what do I need to look for to tell which model it is, because I know the back of the mouse is hidden in the packaging so I cannot see the partcode. - Is there something on the packaging that will tell me? If so I don't mind having a quick check to find out what versions we have. :)

Ah... Just read the bit about the label. So if it has a clear label it is the newer model?

If its got "logitech" on the clear label its prediction free.

I highly doubt ocuk have old stock of these. The prediction free ones have been out there for months now.

I went deep into the OcUK warehouse, found a brand new box of these to have a look inside...

When opening the box and getting one out it seems to have a clear seal. :)

We tend to have the latest stock most of the time.

Just took delivery of one of these and can confirm its prediction free :)

@5UB
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate you taking the time of finding the items and taking the photos. I didn't expect such an awesome response, so thank you.

I emailed customer support again last night linking the overclock image (2nd post) and recieved a reply this morning saying "I have checked our stock and the packaging is different to the image you have specified." I guess there was some confusion a long the line.

But that doesn't matter, now that I have seen (@5UB's) confirmation post/photos and @Jongo's post it has put me at ease.

I have now ordered the G400 and it should be here in a few days.

Thanks a lot guys

No worries at all, can prediction make a difference then? I have not personally read up on it. I have a G400 at home myself for gaming and I can say it is a great mouse, not sure if it has prediction or not, never really took any notice of that. :)
