never tell anyone when your driving test is, that way you don't have to live up to expectations, hence less pressure on yourself when you fail ;)

Relax...
If you had a good instructor, that taught you all; well.
It will all come back to you so clearly while undertaking your test.
Good Luck.

My Self:
I took my secound test at 9am, the best time IMO.
Spent the first 30 minutes crawling in traffic, then only had 15 minutes, to complete 2 manuevers including parking at the test centre. :D
In that time, the tester observed excellent car control an awareness at all times, considering I had cyclists + pedestrians walking out infront of the car.

Past - 2 Minors.
One was apparently reversing, an not looking back.
One been too close (Not Touching) kerb, while doing 3 point turn.

Got a followup Q as im not sure, if i pass my test tommorow, am i able to drive by myself right away ? or do i have to wait for the documents ect ?

Check your mirrors and blind spots (over shoulders) at all times being very obvious about it so the examiner can notice. This includes when you leave the test center car park !

People can fail before they start because of that.

Good Luck :)

Murder as many pedestrians as you can, don't go on the pavement though as you'll get marked down.

Road kills are fair game only.

GOOD LUCK!

*You may fail your test, and risk prison with the above advice

Easier said than done but try and relax. Remember the worst that can happen is you don't pass and need to resit it. Annoying but no great shakes.

When I sat my test back in 1990 about 10 mins in I stalled it at a roundabout. I then convinced that I had failed, just went through the motions to the best of my ability until we got back to the test centre, resigned to the fact that I had most probably failed.

I passed.

Best of luck!!!.

I would practice a few reversing around corners parking... how I failed my first test (passed second time).

I also have my driving test tomorrow!

Best of luck!

hehe, let me know how you get on

and for the rest of ya i will give a progress report once im back hehe :D
the only thing im worried about is the independant driving part as im unfamiliar of the surroundings. :D and reverse parallel park as i tend to go a little to close to the curb when turning back staight. :D but i know i will do fine if i take my time :D i tend to panic lol

I can just remember having a right good convo with the examiner all the way through my test.

Had 3 minors for being to close to the car in front. Said it would have been a fail if it was raining.

Traffic shouldn't be too bad at 9:15, you're just seeing the tail end of it. Schoolies will be sorted out, since most are 8:30->9, and most work people are aiming for 9 too due to doign the 9-5.

If anything, I'd say that's an OK time to do your test.

Little tip for you though, is to be talkative and keep in conversation if you can manage it. It'll show you're confident about your driving, and also less likely the examiner will be bored and therefore not work twice as hard to find a fault with you. :p

9:15 is probably the best time to do it,

An Examiner has 4-5 routes they mainly use during a driving test, and to properly test your ability they will want to avoid the main roads and being stuck in traffic for the whole test, this then eliminates some of the routes, i would not be surprised if you are kept on back roads,

I was kept on back roads and the instructor could not find a proper space for me to do reverse parking so i only did one manouver in my test!!

Best of Luck i am sure you will be fine

I have my Test next Monday at 8:10am, Cant wait! Kind of lol.

Now that's bang in the middle of rush hour traffic. Good luck :D

I'm gonna try and get mine on a saturday at that kind of time. Do you just book a test and they throw a date at you, or do you say "I want x day, am/pm"?
