Hi All i am after some feedback regarding the T.V Panasonic TX-L42ET5B 42 inch Full HD Freeview HD LED 3D I noticed it is Passive 3D and also LED where as most Panasonic T.V,s are Plasma Panels , anyone got one or would recommend them ?

whats your budget ? It not a bad tv, it share the 3D panel from LG the 42lm620, which tbh, I would by over the Panasonic, it has a better setup for smart tv and can also do Duel play for gaming, where 2 people can see a different image on 2 player games.

You can also get the LG magic wand remote which is really nice to use, its like a Wiimote.

Hi there my budget is up to £850 but i must say i like the look and reviews of the LG , would you say its better than the Sony kdl40hx723 3d ? or the panasonic tx-p42st50b

How bright is the room the tv will be in ? if its bright, LED will be the best choice, i dont know the sony, we dont sell them, ive played with the LG and im considering changing from my txp42g10 to a 47lm620.

The 3D is very impressive for passive, and with a few tweaks the picture can look great, there is a thread over at AVforums with good settings to try.

Although the pana has built in WIFI, the LG is generally cheaper and the dongle is about£40.

Hi there my room is quite bright in daytime ,and the Sony trinatron i have is refective , but i kind of use to that , i have read that Plasma is a better picture in films and HD but must say i have an LG 3d Monitor on my p.c upstairs and its awesome ! and i have LG blu ray player and burner which are both great :) that AV thread would be useful if you could find it :)

The thread. http://www.avforums.com/forums/lg-f...t-cinema-3d-smart-led-tv-thread-part-2-a.html

the very last page has some setting that have been used by people and had good comments, Plasma tv's look more natural tbh, due to the slightly softer and more natural motion on them, and they obviously have better black levels due to no backlighting.

i would recommend popping into some where like comet and having a play with both sets.

Thanks for the thread , and i am going to either get a Sony ( which i know are good as my present T.V is Sony ) or Panasonic or LG

I have looked at this and the LG lm620 albeit in 47" recently in quite a few stores, the LG has the better menu system and has a slimer bezel but it ends there.

Both have banding / dse and motion issues. The panasonics seemed to be slightly better overall

The passive 3d is still my preference over active after trying both out.
