First time I've posted in here, left my car in the train station car park to come back to this :

The damage is around 4-5 inches long and has clearly taken the paint right off. Any advice on how I should approach getting this fixed? I've heard this section of the bumper can be "popped out". I'm guessing this isn't worth taking it through the insurance.

The car is a 2001 Mercedes CLK 200K Avantegrande

Cheers guys

as cheap a fix as your going to get really so wouldnt bother with insurance unless quotes say otherwise , just get a few , even mobile repairs gadgeys will be able to do a good job with it

whats the cars condition like ? how much does it mean to you ? with it being a removable scuff trim like that id be very tempted to do it myself but then ive got 'some' expierience of painting

Thats nothing compared to whats happened and will continue to happen on my car, albeit yours is worth more! Unfortunate nature of leaving your car in open public places! :(

I work for a retailer, get to park on public car parks, with hundreds of customers cars, I used to work 5,6, or 7 days a week (I'm ill at the moment so work a lot less now ;( )

My car doesn't have a panel or bit that isn't scratched or dented, even the roof, but I'm past caring now, as long as it's drivable sod what anyone does to it >_<

Odd to see it take off THAT much paint, wonder how the person managed to do that?!

Looks like someones gone against it with some kind of wheeled luggage, considering you parked it at a train station, its on the corner too which would seem likely for something like that.

Probably something with a sharp metal edge, thats just cleaved straight through the layer of paint. :(
