Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition (PC) - Hints & Tips

Video Capture - Enable Gamma Correction

Ah thanks, much better :) Still doing low quality, if others want to do higher quality you are more then welcome.

Taurus on the bridge with firebombs, nice and easy with no chance of getting hit at a low level.. xqz2oW8-67A

Voor, rename your videos to something more appropriate i.e

Dark Souls - Asylum Demon Boss Fight
Dark Souls - Black Knight Mini Boss Fight
Dark Souls - Taurus Demon Boss Fight

Then link this thread in the description and add Dark Souls as video tags on YouTube.

Can't be bothered with that, I figured you would just link the videos to this thread? I only use youtube to show friends stuff. I can stop if you want m8, just thought these might help others.

Yeah, but it will generate viewers from outside of OcUK who will view your videos, giving you more views and then bringing them to this thread. It's easy to rename videos just do it from your Video Manager within YouTube, 5 second job.

Man after all this time you have spoken to me, do I seem like the guy who cares who views my page?? LOL no, I was doing this 100% only for ocuk. If you want me to carry on I will, if not I wont ;) I dont feel the need to show the nation :)

Yeah but it will generate traffic for OcUK. Very useful for them mate.

not sure how anyone can play this game long enough to do any of that.

I played 5 mins and uninstalled. Worst controls ever, and even with a 680m gtx, 32gb ram, and 3720QM it's still slow as snails. Absolutely terrible game

It does have optimization issues, but your laptop should run it fine, do you ever get slowdown?

Its also worth getting a pad, makes the game very playable. :p

Titanite Demon with bow and arrow, best to have more strength so arrows do 39 worth of damage. Here I could only do 24 so took ages :) I cut the video down.

Advice for anyone trying to tackle the Titanite Demons.

Best option if magic is not your forte is actually Melee, you just have to know where to stand.

The trick is to stand next to his left (missing) leg and rotate counter-clockwise, this will allow you avoid his magic (he won't use it) and melee (he can't actually hit you). The only thing you have to watch out for is his leap attack, however you can just roll in pretty much any direction to avoid it.

Arrows might be safe for 1-2 of the demons but for a few it's nearly impossible due to their locations and they health goes up impressively towards the end of the game, meaning it will take a hell of a long time and a lot of arrows. The melee method is slightly more risky but only marginally and is considerably faster.

Moonlight Butterfly tips:

Easy boss if you again, know the trick to it. The boss has 4 attacks, each having a very similar method for avoiding.

Fast Soul Arrows: Roll towards the boss and into the wall as soon as they fire (noise cue is the most reliable telegraph)
Slow Soul Arrows: Wait and roll to the side when they get close.
Explosion: Simple, when the boss floats down to the wall and presents its ass for a whoopin, it will eventually cause an explosion, easy to avoid, no tip required.
Beam: You may not always see this, depends how fast you are, the boss may at some point do a funny beam attack, best way to avoid this is to just leg it to the end of the arena which is furthest away.

I can give tips on request if anyone needs them, I know the game inside out. Helping people is a nice justification for the ungodly amount of hours I've put into the game.

Titanite Demon without magic has been done already in the guide. Just use a bow and arrow and stand by the door. Job done :p

EDIT: Ah you mean later in the game.
