Guild Wars 2

What's CM explorable. Keep seeing it pop up in world chat.

Caudicus's Manor level 40 dungeon. It provides the highest magic find runes in the game, but they are soulbound. Majors drop from the chests, superiors only available for 120 tokens each, and you get 25 tokens per run so for all 6 runes thats a hell of a lot of grind :(

anyone else got anything like this ?

A login attempt from the following location is currently awaiting your authorization.

gives a link to click to authorize it (didnt click it) but how they got my password i have no clue, i am extremely careful and have a fresh windows install.

Used the password you're using with GW2 on another website or game that's been hacked most likely.

the dungeons arent fun and feel lacking so its not a suprise no one wants to do them again.

people would rather hang about in frostgorge farming blood or killing the dragon every 2-3hours and ignore dungeon tokens

I'm starting to feel a bit bored tbh, WvW is great sometimes but the queues of 1-3+ hours mean a lot of time waiting doing nothing but farming for the sake of it.

borderlands are crap they might aswell just have 4 eternals as thats where everyone wants to be

even at 3am you can be in a wvw queue for over an hour

Same boat, although I was sensible enough to not roll on Desolation so I can at least get into WvW during off-peak times without a Queue, but unless you go EB on Gunnars Hold there's generally nothing happening, and on EB it's just circle zerging for xp in a pretty brutal manner.

Dungeons really don't appeal, most of them are crap and frankly they don't work well without a holy trinity. I have exotic gear, exotic weapons and very nearly exotic Jewellery. I have no interest in alts so basically I'm done with the game until WvW picks up, because right now it's crap, if I want it to be better I have to go to a higher pop. server and then face queues 24/7 which I don't want to do either.

No doubt this post will receive 'you shouldn't have rushed' responses but that doesn't change the fact that WvW in it's current state has too many issues for it to be enjoyable, or even be a viable play style unless you're willing to spend 24/7 in the the zone due to Queues.

Stop playing the game then, frankly sick of the negative nancies... you sound as if you have had more then your monies worth you have no subscription just stop playing for a while. You can always call back into the game to see how it's going at any time in the future...

My guild has done caudicus's manor butler route in <45 mins, and I pugged it in <75 mins Asura route with no one needing repairs, so really just man up and get better at the game.

Once you've practiced them, get better and put together an organized group, they are easy peasy. When you pug them with first timers, ofc they are going to be hard, they are meant to be the games elite content / end game comparable to hard mode Underworld and DoA in GW1.

AC story mode The Lovers, my guild groups steamroll it and its IMO the hardest boss fight in all the dungeons I've done so far.

I am. Thought I'd mention it on a public forum but apparently this makes me a 'negative nancy'. Lovely.

It seems I get to find fun guilds with fun character names, awesome.

Not that I'd ever want to, or need to.

Well to me it would seem to be better to join a guild with structure, events to help achieve progression rather than joining some big random pug due to a funny name.

Just my penny's worth.

Few pics from today's exploration of Snowden Drifts:

This game does have some damn scenic areas :D Going to go 100% Lornars later, I hope it's as pretty as in GW1!

How much magic find do the noble runes have? You could just use superior runes of the traveler which are frankly pretty common.

Thing is didn't every one know from day one the pve would play second fiddle to the pvp? If you didn't realise this you either read nothing about the game or were kidding yourself all along.

Re the pvp play spvp? WvW is fun, it's all it's there for make the most of it. It's still to settle and tactics will develop over time but wvw won't change. It's pvp like its meant to be, large scale battles back and forth. If can be a bit frustrating but it's what you make of it.

It's sub free though so people can come back anytime, for me it's pretty blinking perfect. There are a lot of little niggles I would like to see improved upon but its 90% brilliant and a refreshing change :D

Still early days yet, love to see what people think after a few months, i remember when SWTOR was released everybody who bought it loved it! :p

I dont think this was the case really.

There were suspicions that outdoor bosses would be flashy loot pinatas which they are, but no one knew anything about the later zones, Orr, or any of the dungeons bar AC.

I don't think Orr has totally delivered, but im half reserving my opinion because a lot of events were bugged. Risen king/Eye as melee is a blast though.

Also not really sold on downleveling, I think there isnt a huge incentive to go back to re-do lower content except for the big chest events, but with them happening around once every 3 hours, no real notifications of how long is left, and prohibitive travel costs, it's kind of a drag.

WvW is awesome for what it is - aside from the queues, and crafting has been my favorite so far of pretty much any game. The mystic forge is actually pretty cool (2 exotic greatswords from it so far.) And I actually think that it has been monetized pretty fairly, I also hope that they add race changes and character re-creation to the gem shop.

My current thoughts ^

 Its GW, be it 1 or 2 it was always going to be heavily PvP based, everyone should have known this!

Saying that I think the PvE in this game is still very good, they will iron out the problems and there will be huge expansions in the future.

That's a very good point, that GW2 is more pvp oriented. it offers competitive mist arena small groups pvp and huge battles in WvWvW with pve just being for the sake of being there, just like WAR.

Loved WAR and I think once I stop trying to pve and fully embrace PvP (if it wasn't for long queues) this game does offer a lot of fun
