Hi All I am still in a dilema between 2 T.V,s the Sony 40" HX723 3D LED & Panasonic TX-P42ST50 Plasma 3D, i have a quite bright room ,and i know the Plasma is reflective, but i have read that the Panasonic ST50 has a magic coating to stop glare , but its a lot more money than the Sony TV what do i do ? any help ?

The panasonic can be got for £800 from richer sounds and you can claim two pairs of glasses with it.
The sony with no glasses is around £720 from johnlewis, maybe it can be got cheaper, but I can't see it.

Will light fall directly on the screen? it isn't about how bright your room is totally, but if light falls on the screen, then no filter will help out a plasma.

yeah i agree , and yes light does fall on the screen which is why i,m worried to go with a Plasma :(

really you should decide which type you want, LED or plasma first....they're very different look and people are usually in one camp or the other. For me plasma is a far more natural and truthful experience, smoother nicer colours and just more lifelike, vs LED's oversaturated look with really uneven backlighting on dark scenes even on top end sets let alone at this price point

Plus you cant beat the black levels on a plasma :)

Personally it's a no brainer for me, Panasonic! Sony don't contend with Panasonic and Samsung IME.

yes i agree with this ...and your right you must decide on LED or Plasma , and i agree the colours on a Plasma is far more natural ,after watching my friends Panasonic its awesome ! the only 2 things that worry me is 1 the reflectiveness of the screen , is this as much an issue as the past ? & 2 the cost is a Plasma worth £300.00 more than a Sony LED ?
