How would you react to this?

There was a not too dissimilar story this side of the pond a few months ago after a wife admitted to her husband she was having an affair. They had two kids both with disabilities.

Sad times we live in. There are some monsters out there.
 
Not that this makes a difference to either of the their situations, but I recently found out that the risk of catching HIV is, contrary to what most people think, actually not that likely through sex.
I for one am not advocating unsafe sex, as the risk of other diseases is much higher but supposedly, only blood is super infectious and all other bodily fluids are not. It's somewhere in the region of 1/500 chance of catching it from an infected person.
Now this didn't make sense to me considering the infection rate of the southern Africa countries, but it seems to be true. I can only imagine that since 1/3 people (or something) have it there your chances increase greatly.
 
great case of bad education and dodgy information

the guy was probably brought up with total scare tactics about HIV in the same way as''drugs are bad mmmkay''

Probably due to the amount of rape/violent sex therefore casuing injury and then bleeding 'down there'.

So lets say for example you were about to go into a building where I'd just planted a bomb and then got killed in the explosion because I didn't warn you it would be dangerous. It would totally not be my fault because you should expect every building to be booby trapped. Have you learnt nothing from watching the news for the last twenty years?

Yes the guy is an idiot but the woman is far more responsible for this than he is, assuming she slept with him knowing that she had HIV.

OTT much?

We have been getting told to wrap it up every time we do the nasty for nigh on 20 years. Its in the papers, on TV, in schools. You can't escape it. But I can't remember the last time I saw an advert telling me to wear a flack jacket every time I enter a building I don't know well.

Also, the rate of new STI infections is slightly higher than bombings in western countries.
 
While HIV/AIDs isn't necessarily a death sentence these days I get why the guy was so angry. After all I can only name Magic Johnson whose lived a long time with it.

If someone gave me an incurable STD that could effectively kill me faster than nature intended then I'd probably kill her.


To those people saying "Wrap up" bla bla bla, she was his girlfriend, someone he's supposed to be able to trust. If you're in the position where she's taking other contraceptives then why the hell not go in without a raincoat?
