Please recommend me a quiet keyboard w/ backlight.

I'm after a quiet keyboard that doesn't wake my girlfriend when typing as she insanely often goes to sleep before 12 midnight!

It also needs back lighting of some kind so I can see the keys in the dark and it should not be bad for gaming. I don't need a gaming keyboard but on the other hand I don't want something with lag as I do like to play the odd game from time to time. It mainly needs to be quiet as possible for typing and have back-lit keys.

ive just got a v7 cyborg and the g/f can sleep through that without any problems back light is customizable both in colour and brightness or can be turned off all together, I like it going from a logitech media keyboard, chunky keys and i would say quieter

This one seems pretty good, though its not reconmended for gamers, i would just be gentle with it so as not to ruin the keys, but apparently its pretty silent

Yeah had a logitech illuminated keyboard. Lovely, very quiet. No problem gaming, but later revisions have some key ghosting issues. I'm still puzzled as to why, and the newer versions are not fixed, apparently. Very strange decision by Logitech in this day and age. Probably to push the G510's.

Yes this would have been one of the favourites as I like the styling as well but been reading on the Logitech forums and the W+Shift+Space (basically run and jump for FPS games) is disabled due to the 'matrix' Logitech use. A lot of unhappy Logitech users.

Just as an update and thanks; I managed to get a version of the Logitech Illuminated keyboard without the fabled ghosting issue. My P/N begins with the 820-xxxxx, the problem keyboards are 920-xxxxx. My keyboard works wonderfully and I'm typing away with the girlfriend sound asleep just a few feet away.
